Aishwarya Rai: Her report card 2010
August 10th, 2010By Jilawatan
So far, Aishwarya Rai has served us one film named Raavan in 2010. The film, contrary to overwhelming speculations, fell flat on the box office lending her a rare flop. Critics slammed her for her screams and shrieks while Abhishek was anything but scary. However, Aishwarya scorched the Cannes Film Festival with her graceful presence as she flaunted a mix of Indian and western attires, lending the prestigious carpet a touch of modernity with a hint of classy ethics.
So, the report card of Ash can be presented as:
1. Appearance: She looked resplendent and inviting at Cannes and has never looked better as she did in Raavan. With her twinkling eyes, mesmerizing face and milky white complexion, she gets a 9/10 in looks department.
2. Performance: Her only film to have hit the theatres, so far, is Raavan. Even though, critics slit her throat for her pathetic, one-sided acting, personally I found her subdued yet revolting character the only plus-point of the film. On performance count, I shall give her a decent 8/10.
3. Media & Fan interaction: Sadly, she isn’t as media and fan savvy as someone like Shahrukh Khan or Priyanka Chopra. Unlike, Abhishek, she isn’t on twitter and tries not to cross the tabloid’s path. More importantly, she isn’t very co-operative with the paparazzi, at times, giggling and, at times, storming off. So, on this count, I shall give her a generous 4/10.
