While in the capital to promote her upcoming film , Raavan, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan talked to the media about the World Cup, IIFA and Wedding Anniversary. There aren’t many stars that give you a guilty feeling as you interview them. But Aishwarya Rai Bachchan can tackle even the most inane of questions with thought-provoking intelligence.
When asked about weather the couple will attend the soccer world cup , she says – “life right now is super hectic, it’s been a crazy roller coaster ride. Abhishek and I are both soccer fans and root for Brazil but as far as going for the world cup is concerned , I don’t think we would be able to make it. Things are just too busy.”
Having asked about the absence of the Bachchans from the IIFA awards in Colombo , despite being the brand ambassador, Ash explains , “press made this into a big issue without getting into the facts. My international commitments are chalked out in the start of the year itself and Wizcraft (the organisers of IIFA) know that very well. Abhishek was shooting for GAME in Istanbul. Despite wanting to, we couldn’t have made time for it. Still if people say bad things, what to do? Tongue is the only boneless entity in the body so those who want to talk unnecessarily would continue to do so.”
The couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary in april but Ash says they didn’t gift each other anything. “At the risk of sounding corny, i’d say our only gift is to give ourselves to each other. Abhi and I have no gift policy in our marriage.”
Well Aishwarya is one of those actresses who knows well the traits of handling questions put up by media weather related to career , family etc..
