Bursting Aishwarya Rai’s little bubble of refusing endorsements to the biggest names, Danone, the world’s No.1 dairy company, has refuted the story that they ever approached Mrs. Bachchan to endorse their company. So what about the story of a documentary on her life worth millions?

A. R. Rahman may have received some flak for his composition for the Commonwealth Games, but his buddy Abbas Tyrewala is singing praises for him. Why? Because the musical genius composed two songs for Abbas’ Jhootha Hi Sahi in 40 hours!

Angelina Jolie took her role as a celebrity to new heights as she visited the flood victims in Pakistan. The demurely dressed Angelina is the United Nations goodwill ambassador.

Aishwarya Rai in Raavan: Great Expectations but Paradise Lost

July 8th, 2010

Suddenly, all the hype about Aishwarya Rai has come to a halt in the media after the disastrous performance of Raavan film in the box office. Sadly for her, Katrina Kaif’s Raajneeti did very well in the box office in the same month.
The success of Katrina Kaif came at the worst possible time for Rai. Too much was written about Raavan in the media in the last few weeks. Of course, when a movie fails in the box office, it is not the fault of the actress or heroine alone.
Mani Ratnam was the director. The main fault should go with him. Abhishek Bachchan was the hero and he should have his own share of success and failure too. A. R. Rahman was behind the composition of music.
So, it is not clear why Aishwarya Rai felt so disappointed about the failure of the movie Raavan in the box office. She does not need to become silent.
Raavan not only failed in the box office but also failed to get any kind of notable praise from critics both in India and in USA and UK. However, it seems that Aishwarya Rai has taken the failure too personally.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came out with an award-winning performance in Mani Ratnam’s just-released Raavan and Raavanan. There is no second opinion on this! No actress but Aishwarya could have played the beauteous and virtuous modern-day Sita kidnapped by a Maoist Raavan.

Now all eyes are set of Aishwarya Rai’s next Tamil film Endhiran with Superstar Rajnikanth. Director Shankar wrote in his blog recently, “Well… except one song, the shooting of the whole film (Endhiran) is complete. The full edited film has been given to A.R. Rahman for background score and Resul Pookutty for the sound effects. Just waiting to shoot the last song, the computer graphics work of the climax and some important scenes to be completed.”

Reportedly the last song will feature the lead pair Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai! And now the entire Endhiran crew is waiting for Aishwarya Rai’s dates for the shoot. According to sources, the song will be shot on a beautiful set erected at a studio in Chennai.
