Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been rated the most bankable Bollywood actor in Hollywood. This topples Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh, Aamir or even the Hollywood-experienced Freida Pinto. Under this light, it seems a little ironic that Bollywood has never had any official ‘most bankable’ actress.

When asked about this phenomenon by a channel, Aishwarya Rai contempelated, “From the time I had joined the industry I was forewarned about this difference. And since then, I have wondered if I work with this notion in mind or just go ahead doing my work?”

Forbes magazine has put Aishwarya above SRK, Aamir Khan and her former boyfriend Salman Khan in terms of her international appeal. Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan is nowhere in the picture.

Abhishek’s name does not find any mention in Forbes magazine’s list of Hollywood’s most bankable stars from across the globe. Aishwarya Rai is at least 200 ranks above the second ranked Indian star on the list Aamir Khan and around 400 ranks above Shah Rukh Khan.

When most actress of her age have turned dotting wives and moms, the former beauty queen is experimenting in new and newer roles that are coming her way. Other Indians on the list include Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Irfan Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

She is ranked highest among all the Indian actors and the only female actor from the country. Her rank stands at 387th position in the global list of as many as 1,411 actors from across the world. Among male Bollywood actors, Aamir is ranked highest at 540th in the global list, followed by Shahrukh (735th), Salman (753rd), Irfan Khan (825th) and Hrithik Roshan (1059th). The list is topped by Hollywood star Will Smith.
