Best triangular love stories of real life

November 23rd, 2008

Not just in flicks, Bollywood has witnessed lots and lots of triangular stories in real lives of celebrities too. So, who’re those actors topping the charts of best triangular love stories? One of the leading media channels had figured it was none other than the entire family of Big B. Yup! Amitabh Bacchan, Jaya Bachchan, his son Abhishek and wife Aishwarya Rai….

Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and who could have been the one with one-sided love with them? It was Vivek Oberoi. Yeah! He fell in love with Aishwarya Rai and nothing really worked out for him as she entered into nuptials with Abhishek Bachchan. Glimpse back to his Abhi’s dad Big B and there’s something more interesting. Buzzes were that actress Rekha was in love with Amitabh Bachchan for a long time even after his nuptials with Jaya Bachchan… Later, Jaya had to interfere in this issue and get things set right with Rekha…

Aishwarya Rai excited about new project with hubby Abhishek Bachchan

November 15th, 2008

Aishwarya Rai is upbeat about her next project, Ravan where she stars along with hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

“It’s a really exciting thought for me and Abhishek to be coming together again with Mani Ratnam. All I can say about the film is that it goes into a completely different theme from Guru,” said Aishwarya, who turns 35 on Saturday.

“You can’t expect Mani sir to go into the same space twice. Working with him is an exciting thought for any actor. The way he connects to his actors is very clear in the films that he makes. He creates magic on screen,” she added.

Aishwarya says Guru, in which she paired with Abhishek, for Mani Ratnam itself, was a very precious experience. “It has been a very precious experience on every level, and not just on a personal level. I’d say it was professionally very fulfilling.”

Ash misses Ma, Pa…

November 8th, 2008

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turned 35 recently. But the birthday girl couldn’t be with her family back home.

Instead, she spent time with her hubby in the thick jungles of Kochi in Kerala, where they’re shooting for Mani Ratnam’s film. The day went as usual – they left for the shooting venue at 5 am and returned at 7 pm, and then celebrated. “It was a small, quiet affair with the unit. We celebrated with some good food after we packed up,” said a unit member.

Of course, the birthday was incomplete without Ash’s Ma and Pa… But the tech-savvy hubby that Abhi is, and with a gadget freak pa-in-law like Amitabh, Ash connected with everyone back home! Quite some idea, an e-birthday! What say?

KAREENA KAPOOR HATES AISHWARYA RAI FOR MANY REASONS

November 7th, 2008

Kareena Kapoor has made no bones about not liking Aishwarya Bachchan. This dislike must have a lot to do with the Karisma – Abhishek breakup and Ash being such a fine replacement of her elder sister Karisma as the Bachchan bahu.

The Bachchans have talked about how Ash is the perfect daughter in-law and Karisma Kapoor really wasn’t homely enough for them. Or it might have something to do with Ash still being considered ethereally beautiful and very much in competition despite being older and not having too many big hits.

The latest is that Kareena Kapoor hadn’t really turned down a role opposite Hollywood actor Johnny Depp because of date problems. It had a lot to do with Ash.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai visit Kedarnath

November 1st, 2008

Abhishek Bachchan along with his actress wife Aishwarya Rai] and mother Jaya Bachchan visited the Kedarnath shrine and offered prayers to Lord Shiva in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand on Friday.

They were accompanied by Samajwadi Party leader and family friend Amar Singh and Aishwarya Rai’ family , according to Rudraprayag SP Neeru Garg .

The Bachchan family, who reached here by three helicopters at around 10.30 am, spent more than an hour performing puja at the temple, situated at a height of 3581 meter in Garhwal Himalayas. They also had parikrama around the famous Hindu shrine of Lord Shiva, under the guidance of the temple priests, Garg said.

After having lunch at the guesthouse here, they left the place at around 00:45 pm. Kedarnath shrine is situated on the bank of river Mandakini, a tributary of Ganga and attracts lakhs of pilgrims every year. The Bachchan family, however, avoided media persons gathered at the shrine area.

Prying cameras messed up Ash’s Karva Chauth

October 27th, 2008

If the Big B’s health scare last week was like a nightmarish miniature- replay of his earlier trauma when he fell ill with a stomach pain in December 2005, Kaurva Chauth this year sent up a shivering reminder to the Bachchans of Abhishek and Aishwarya’s first Karva Chauth last year when secret tv cameras planted behind bushes ruined the solemnity and sanctity of the occasion.

The same happened on Friday.

And the Big B is not amused.

Speaking out against the violation of his family’s privacy he says, “The prying electronic media positioned themselves at vantage points to invade private space inside our home.

It a a callous, abhorrent act. Our privacy was invaded without our consent. Otherwise the ladies of the house were happy and content. They involved themselves with all the rituals connected with the occasion and the evening went off delightfully well”

Aishwarya: I’m so proud to have a hubby like Abhishek

October 26th, 2008

For Aishwarya Rai time management is not just an art, it’s a necessity. She arrived recently after the world tour, then left for Peru via Dubai to shoot for Shankar’s Robot.

“I’m looking working with Rajnikant Sir in Robot. He and my father-in-law are institutions. Luckily I’ve worked with both. And Peru is a place I’ve never shot in. Wish I had more time to enjoy the new happenings in my life, ” sighed Aishwarya.

“But the sad part is I hardly got enough time to do the things that are really important to me, like spend with my parents, specially my father who’s been very unwell. I barely came back from the Unforgettable concerts when I had to leave. That’s the hard part of being who I am. The show always has to go on.”

I’d love Raj Thackeray to watch ‘Drona’: Abhishek

October 20th, 2008

bhishek Bachchan says he would like the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray to watch his ambitious fantasy adventure “Drona”, releasing Thursday.”I’d love Raj Thackeray to watch ‘Drona’. I hope he does. And I hope he enjoys it. I know he will. He loves watching good films. And I’d like to think ‘Drona’ is a good film,” Abhishek told IANS.

It seems Abhishek has no ill-feelings towards Raj Thackeray who disrupted the premiere of his father’s film “The Last Lear” after Jaya Bachchan’s “anti-Marathi” remarks last month. In fact, there is widespread speculation that Raj would be invited to the “Drona” premiere to be held here Oct 2.

Abhishek neither confirmed nor denied this possibility.
