For a few months, till Vipul Shah announced November 5 as D-Day, the grapevine had been buzzing about Action Replayy lining up for an Eid opening. And setting up a moonstruck clash between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan, whose Dabangg had also zeroed in on September10.

However, the producer-director denies this, “Ash versus Salman? Eid was never an option. We had earlier locked on July 23 but the post-production is taking longer than expected because the film has a lot of special effects. So another Akshay Kumar starrer, Khatta Meetha, opened last Friday,” says Shah. “Diwali is a good time for our fun film.”

Those who are die-hard Aishwarya Rai fans can take pleasure from the fact that the swelteringly beautiful lady is all set to ignite your life this Diwali, one of the biggest festivals of India.
Aishwarya shall be casting her hypnotising spell on the silver screen this Diwali as her film ‘Action Replayy’ hits the theatres on November, 5th, 2010. Other trivial snippets about the film are as follows:
1. Aishwarya pairs up with Akshay Kumar for the 1st time in her career. This is astonishing given that both have been in the industry since the 90s and have done numerous films.
2. Action Replayy can be branded as a film from the sci-fic genre with a touch of romance.
3. The story gets woven around the theme of time-travel as the protagonists are transported backwards to the era of the 70s and likewise.
4. The film is being touted as an inspiration from the Oscar-nominated flick ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ that starred Brad Pitt.
5. The film’s shoot has already been wrapped up as July 15th marked the end of the last leg of shoot in the exotic Manali.
6. But, we have some Golmaal here. As per the current scheduling, Action Replayy shall release on 5th November along with ‘Golmaal 3’, the 3rd edition of the hit Golmaal franchisee.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is these days in the middle of completing her shooting for a song sequence in the Vipul Shah action comedy flick ‘Action Replayy’, with Akshay Kumar, has received a big compliment from the action hero.
Reports are abuzz that Akshay Kumar has said that Ash looks as young as a 21-year-old, inspite of the make up man trying desperately to make her look as old as a 50 year old.
Ash is made to look that way, as that is the demand of the script at this juncture, when the song sequence is being shot in the beautiful picturesque valleys of Kullu Manali.
The flick ‘Action Replayy’ is a remake of the Hollywood flick ‘The Curious case of Benjamin Button’.

Finally, after many cancellations and much shifting in schedule dates, the retro song featuring Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar for Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s movie Action Replayy is going to be shot in Manali.

Vipul Shah has been keen to shoot this song since the end of winters but the shoot has been getting postponed for one reason or another. First, it snowed in Manali when the unit was set to fly there. Then, Ash and Akshay got busy with other projects. Ash even suggested shooting the song in London in May, but Vipul did not find it feasible.

Now, all things have come together just right for the song to be canned at last. Aishwarya has a few free dates and Akshay too has a few days to spare before he gets busy with the promotions of Khatta Meetha.

Aishwarya Rai, was recently in news for establishing good terms with most of the director’s wives she has worked with. News was there that Aishwaray, who was seen in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan was offered a movie by Ratnam’s second half Suhasini Ratnam.
Buzz was there that inspite of Raavan being a flop at the box-office; things are all fine between Ash and the director’s wife that they there are sharing an amazingly good level. So much so that the Suhasini was keen to direct the Bachchan bahu in her project, that would have been her directorial debut.
However, latest reports from the Suhasini Ratnam’s spokeperson have come in that there is no such plan as of now. Sushini is quite busy as she has some other commitments and thus she could not even think of any new project at the time.
Though everything seems to be fine between Ash and Ratnam, there’s no movie ffor Ash from Mani Ratnam’s second half.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya has some films in her kitty like Action Replayy, Guzaarish and Endhiran.

Vipul Amrutlal Shah can at last heave a big sigh of relief. After being on tenterhooks for months because of a pending song for his time travel movie Action Replayy, the director has finally managed to winkle out some time from the film’s lead actors, Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar.

As we reported earlier, the movie’s shoot is complete but for a special retro song which Vipul hasn’t been able to shoot for reasons beyond his control. First, inclement weather in Manali, where the song was to be shot, played spoilsport. Later on, Ash and Akshay had no dates to spare for the song. Though Ash offered to shoot the song in London in May, the plan wasn’t feasible for Shah.

Now, after waiting for months, Vipul is reported to have got the required dates from both Ash and Akshay to shoot the song near Manali by the end of June.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar says that Action Replayy is his first romantic comedy with Aishwarya Rai and he was blushing through the making of the retro cool movie.

“It is my fifth film with director Vipul Shah and definitely another one to remember. Ash and I had a brief romantic interlude in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Khakee, but Action Replayy is our first romantic comedy together. Believe me, I was blushing through the making,” Akshay said in a
statement.

“There’s a lot I wish to tell my audience about. But Vipul wants me to keep things under wraps for the moment.”

Akshay says he was thrilled to be a part of “Action Replayy” that is set in the 1970s when his father-in-law Rajesh Khanna was hailed as the first superstar.

It’s romance in rewind mode. It’s a trip back to the glorious 1970s of the flower power generation, of the bell bottom trousers, gaudy clothes, long hair and, of course, the Lambretta scooter.

Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar take the joyride on the vintage two-wheeler in director Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s film Action Replayy.

The movie is about two bickering senior citizens who rediscover love on their 33rd wedding anniversary. Then on, the romantic tale of the two old lovers is told in action replay, spooling back to the 1970s and spanning decades.

This is Ash and Akshay’s second film together. They had first paired briefly in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Khakee. Action Replayy is the duo’s first full-on romantic film. The film’s shoot is nearly complete. Just a song and some patch-up work needs to be shot.

There’s talk that actors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshay Kumar are giving a tough time to filmmaker Vipul Shah, who is busy with the production of ‘Action Replayy’, a story that ranges from 1975 to present day! Apparently, the actors have just one song left to shoot, but won’t! The reason cited for this is ‘genuine date problem’ for both actors!

Aishwarya is currently busy with her Cannes appearance, and Akshay on the other hand is busy shooting Nikhil Advani’s ‘Patiala House’ in London. The good part is that both the actors are shooting not very far away from each other and have even recommended that Vipul Shah come to London and shoot his song at nights. However, Vipul isn’t too sure about taking up the suggestion. “It’ll mean overwork for them, and besides I have already postponed the release of Action Replayy from June to September. I have four days of shooting left and then Ash’s Raavan, too, is scheduled for a June release. So it just made sense…”

Finally, Aishwarya Rai can heave a sigh of relief from all the hectic work schedules she’s been juggling for months. Just days after celebrating her third wedding anniversary with hubby Abhishek Bachchan in the US, the stunner is off to Greece for another break.

Why Greece, you ask? Because Abhishek is going to be shooting his next film ‘Game’, an action thriller, in the country.

“Going to Greece for shooting for my new movie GAME! Great co-stars. Looking forward to it. Thankfully my Mrs. has agreed to come along,” Abhishek recently wrote on Twitter.

For the last one year, Aishwarya has been extremely busy shooting for both the Hindi and Tamil versions of Raavan, apart from Shankar’s sci-fi thriller Endhiran and Vipul Shah’s Action Replayy. Her shoot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s c is also all but complete though she still has to shoot a song with Akshay Kumar for ‘Action Replayy’.
