In an online popularity contest conducted by Desifans.com, Aishwarya Rai defeated Shah Rukh Khan by a huge margin to win the title of the Most loved Desi Celeb. While Khan got a 32.2 per cent share of votes, Rai won 67.8 per cent. Not only Khan, Rai also nudged Katrina

Kaif.

In another online survey, Rai has also been voted as the Best Actress of 2010 for her performance in Guzaarish. Out of 10,867 votes cast, Aishwarya won 77 per cent.

This time, she was competing against the likes of Kajol (My Name is Khan), Katrina Kaif (Raajneeti) and Vidya Balan (Ishqiya). While Kajol was the runners up with 17 per cent votes, Katrina Kaif bagged 3 per cent of the total votes. Vidya Balan, on the other hand, barely managed 3 per cent of the total votes.

In town on Wednesday, the actress tells us how she braved the heat to shoot a commercial Aishwarya’s been in Dubai twice in the matter of a week. So when she tells us, “I only zip in and out of the city. I have never had the time to really explore it,” we believe her. But if there is something Ash is aware of that is the Dubai summer sun.

“We were shooting for a commercial for Lux right in the middle of the summer, under the blazing sun. The crew was absolutely drenched in sweat and the director ended up ordering bottles of Pocari Sweat to hydrate everyone. And I remember there was a crane that was being used during the shoot and it blocked the traffic on one of the main roads. It created quite a stir. But everything turned out well in the end.”

Salman Khan, the ‘Dabangg’ actor has, of late, become clever and skilful in dodging private questions that the tabloid so recklessly poses before the mega stars. Though, Aishwarya and Salman are pretty adept in avoiding each other, Salman Khan has finally unzipped his lips and spoken of his ex flame.
When quizzed about how he feels towards Aishwarya post marriage, he is blatant and candid as he cites, “I am very happy she is married to Abhishek. He is a great guy from a good family. The best thing I can want for her is that she leads a happy life.”
Will Aishwarya respond to this? I am sure Aishwarya isn’t that bold and laidback and would show the interviewer a furious glance before skipping the question and moving on.
Salman, by the way, is also being harassed by the media for his break up with his long time girlfriend Katrina. Are the Bachchans set for a tryst with Hollywood stars? Well, it seems so. Cheeni Kum director R. Balki is reportedly planning to approach Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep for a film with Amitabh Bachchan.

On the other hand, Big B’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might land a role opposite Hollywood actor Ben Stiller. According to TV reports, Ash is vying with Sonam Kapoor for a role in Stiller’s film.

Aishwarya’s spokesperson remained unavailable for comment. Coming back to Big B, Balki is giving finishing touches to a love story with him in mind. The director, who is flying high on the success of Paa, has said approaching the Devil Wears Prada actress for his venture is the least of his worries.

Aishwarya always likes to wear odd dress materials which boost up the controversy. It has been proved once again. After acting in Devdas, she joined a number of national and international fashion shows. However recently, she wore fantastic and something awkward apparel which has been designed by Elie Saab, an eminent Lebanese fashion designer. The gown is gorgeous and very attractive in color.

The embroidery work is eye catching. However few critics have expressed their different opinions about the new gown which she wore to attend the fashion show. Some of them are not satisfied and told the reporters that Ash would have been more glamorous and elegant had she been clad in saree.
However, Vijay Arora has made remarkable comments about her newly designed gown. He has stated that the color of the apparel is really superb and eye soothing and the embroidery work is undoubtedly brilliant.

Remember that emotional scene from ‘Paa’ where the on-screen father Abhishek Bachchan carries his on-screen son Amitabh Bachchan (aka Auro) on his back. Well, that may have been a necessity for the film’s script. But, in real life, too, Abhishek (known for his carefree and kiddish manners) often plays this game and no…….not with children but with his unit members.
For instance, during his shots in Rohan Sippy’s ‘Dum Maro Dum’, Abhishek often showcases his funny side and forces others to pamper him. He refuses to walk on his feet from his vanity van to the sets and demands that he be piggybacked to the set.
And Hussain (a crew member) spoils him by always fulfilling his demand. Hussain quips, “Abhishek meri jaan hai (Abhishek is my life-blood). We do this quite frequently, though not everyday.”
Now, if Abhishek can be such a huge prankster on the sets, then just imagine how naughty he must be with wife Aishwarya in their private moments. And I wonder, behind the closed doors of their bedrooms, if Abhishek piggybacks Ash or is it the other way round? Have you folks and fans of Aishwarya Rai got an inkling to this mystery?

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya’s Rai Bachchan, celebrate their 3rd marriage anniversary today. According to Big b’s blog, the couple is to celebrate their anniversary in New York and is expected to be back by the 24th of April.
The young Bachchan couple got married in 2007, in Mumbai. They celebrated their first anniversary in Mauritius where Abhishek was shooting for his film’ Dostana’, and ash had joined him later.
