Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai’s ex flame actor Salman Khan has found himself a new admirer in the current Miss Universe pageant holder Jimena Navarrete Rosete. Jimena is a Mexican hottie and is, currently, on a 10 day tour to India to promote the cause of girl child and female foeticide.
The beautiful and super-gorgeous damsel has expressed her yearning to act in Bollywood films. She has stated that she is willing to learn Hindi if she lands a role in Bollywood films. Hitherto, she hasn’t been offered anything but may be, after her statement, some movie maker knocks at her door.
She has also spoken of the Indian actors citing that they are quite handsome. Wonder whom she is hinting at! During her stay she gets to meet our beefy, brawny star Salman Khan and she is thrilled about the prospect. She professes her admiration for Salman and remarks that she has heard a lot about him and would love to watch some of his flicks.
Bollywood has given a platform to loads of pageant winners like Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta. So, Jimena won’t find it too difficult to find herself a film. The only glitch is that she is a foreign babe who can only speak ‘Namaste’ in Hindi. But then the same was the case with Katrina who is, currently, the ruling lady of our tinsel villa.

The cover of the February issue of Vogue India is quite eye grabbing. It has Aishwarya Rai dressed as a raven, ready to take flight.

Aren’t we tired of seeing plastic beauties striking stilted poses for magazine covers? So Vogue has quite innovatively come up with a cover that will sure catch people’s attention. It has Aishwarya Rai, clad in a figure hugging black dress, with raven feathers adorning her shoulders.

What’s also curious to note is her pose: arms akimbo, and palms resting assuredly on that perfect waist; her auburn hair hanging down and she staring at the camera through those mesmeric hazel eyes.

Bollywood actors Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan are two of the biggest stars of the tinsel town. And it is no surprise that they have a colossal fan following; something that guarantees that the paparazzi keep hounding them.

And recently at the Filmfare nomination bash, the two were spotted together sharing a light moment. Aishwarya Rai was snapped laughing at an apparent joke that the witty King Khan cracked. So, this indicates that things are perfectly alright between SRK and Ash.
However, things haven’t been completely alright between the two over the years and they have been on no-speaking terms before. That was when Aishwarya Rai had to walk out of SRK’s film ‘Chalte Chalte’ following some relationship problems with actor Salman Khan.
At that point of time, Ash and Salman were in a relationship but with Salman trying to control her life, she was finding it hard to maintain amiability. She also had a fall-out with Shahrukh at that time on the sets of ‘Chalte Chalte.’
However, now we can safely say that SRK and Ash are presently very much on cordial terms. There is no rift going on and it’s ironic that both are harbouring cold rivalry with Salman Khan. It’s to be seen if we get to see the ‘Devdas’ jodi back on the silver screen some time!

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai had an eventful 2010 which saw four of her films getting a release. Though Aishwarya didn’t get the kind of box office response that she deserved, she starred in 3 magnum opuses if money is anything to go by.
For instance, she starred in the film ‘Robot’ or ‘Endhiran’ that was the most expensive film made in India. Made at a cost of over Rs 150 crore it paired Aishwarya up with the South Indian Demi-God Rajinikanth. And this film did a staggering business at box office and at some parts (like Chennai) the theatre owners had to run early morning (3 am) shows to meet the sky-high demand. The only glitch is that Aishwarya was basically a candy floss in that film which was basically a Rajinikanth bonanza.
Apart from ‘Robot’, Aishwarya Rai starred in another expensive film in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan.’ ‘Raavan’ was the 2nd most expensive film of the year and was inspired from the Hindu epic ‘Ramayan.’ However, despite all the hype and hoopla, this ‘Raavan’ was beheaded by critics and audience.
Aishwarya also starred in the 3rd most expensive film of 2010 in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish.’ Made at a budget of over Rs 50 crore, this film starring Hrithik Roshan and Ash was heavily appreciated by the critics. The film, indeed, was poetically beautiful with a poignant storyline and masterly cinematography. But unfortunately, ‘Guzaarish’ was a dud at the box office.

Look who arrived looking gorgeous as ever at Neelam and Sameer Soni’s wedding reception yesterday? It’s Aishwarya Rai. The lady wore a dark pink back-less salwar suit and was without her dear hubby. While others who added Bollywood zing to the reception were Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and also Karan Johar.

SRK and Rani took some time out and were seen enjoying each other’s company and posing for photogs, but we can’t say the same for Ash and Rani. It seems the theme for the party was pink and white as most of the ladies walked in pink-coloured dresses. Rani was quite the cynosure of eyes; she looked lovely in pink and white ghagra-choli.

Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai were spotted sharing a light moment at the Filmfare nomination bash in Mumbai recently.

Shahrukh and Ash have had a chequered working relationship. Years ago, the duo who sparked a matchless chemistry in Devdas fell out after Ash’s relationship woes with Salman Khan spilled over on the sets of the movie Chalte Chalte, following which Ash was dropped from the project and SRK vowed never to work with her again.

The freeze between them slowly thawed over the years but there have always been whispers of a lingering friction between the two. But at the nomination bash of Filmfare Awards, SRK and Ash were spotted without their respective spouses. There was no awkwardness between them. Rather, they shared a light moment, with SRK cracking his usual humour.

After getting part of the Bachchan clan, it seemed a little odd. But the way in which bahu Aishwarya Rai refused to work in the next movie of Vipul Shah. She simply said that she did not want to work opposite to her husband Abhishek Bachchan.

She has instead asked the filmmaker to cast her toughest competitor at present in the industry, Katrina Kaif, to work opposite to him. A source close to the development said that when Vipul spoke to Ash about the role she started thinking and then suggested that Katrina be cast instead of her.

This is not the first time though that such a stand has been taken by former beauty queen and a good actress. Earlier too she had refused to work opposite to Abhi during the flick, ‘Dostana’. Then came ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ and ‘Game’, where the same response was given and each time she came up with one or the other excuse.

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is hitting headlines once again for a controversial issue. There is a huge humdrum on the net that Aishwarya Rai turned down the offer to dance with Shahrukh Khan in a recently held award function.
Grapevine has it that the King Khan wanted to shake a leg with Aishwarya on her hit item number ‘Kajra re’. But Aishwarya turned down the offer apparently coz she didn’t want to dance on the track with SRK. Aishwarya had made this ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ song hit by gyrating to this seductive number alongside Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan.
Aishwarya, therefore, considers this song a family affair and does not intend to shake legs on it with anyone other than Abhishek or Amitabh. Since SRK is neither her hubby nor her father-in-law, she refused the request placed by the organisers.
Shahrukh had been planning a gig around the tinsel town’s ladies over the years and wanted to conclude it with ‘kajra re’ with Aish. But after Aish snubbed him, he was compelled to shelve his plan.
Neither Aishwarya nor SRK has commented on the issue and one wonders if things are all normal between the two!

Abhishek-Katrina starrer on hold for Abhishek-Ash film?

Actor Abhishek Bachchan was to shoot with Katrina Kaif for Rajkumar Santoshi’s film. However, that movie has been put on the back burner for the time being, and Abhishek will instead shoot with wife Aishwarya Rai for yet another Rajkumar Santoshi flick.

Now this isn’t the case of blood being thicker than water. In fact, it was Katrina Kaif who hasn’t yet issued dates for the movie. So Santoshi thought it would be best not to waste time and move on to the next project.

This Abhishek-Ash starrer is a Romcom and will be titled ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’. So ladies and gentlement, let’s watch out how funny and romantic our dear Bachchan pair can get, while Katrina sorts her dates out.

Actress Aishwarya Rai walked away with the special jury award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish at the Ponds Gold Radiance Zee Cine Awards 2011 held in Singapore.

Aishwarya was honoured on Friday as the best actress (female) jury choice for her outstanding performance in the sensitive and challenging role of Sofia in Guzaarish that also starred Hrithik Roshan as a paraplegic patient.

The actress also performed at the event on hit numbers from Raavan, Action Replayy and Robot.

The award comes right after winning a gong for cinematic excellence for her work for the same film at the recently held Apsara Awards.
