But, reportedly, the number of costumes that the wardrobe in charge of the heroines clothes, does not have to bother for more than 40 dresses on an average.

Now, ask the wardrobe in charge of Aishwarya’s clothes or costumes in the film ‘Action Replayy’,and you’ll know that the actress gets to wear an astounding 125 dresses to make her look on top of the world!
Ask any of the insiders, and they’ll tell you that it is a fact that Ash has got that many costumes, but only because her character in the film is absolutely obsessed with clothes. She is a woman who is passionate about clothes, and just adores wearing a new outfit every time she appears in public.
Well, speaking of Ash and her flair for carrying almost any dress under the Sun with great style and confidence, this movie is surely going to be a treat to watch for her fans to watch. The film is directed by Vipul Shah, and it has Akhsay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as its leading pair.

Aishwarya Rai, the gorgeous Bachchan bahu who plays the lead character of Sita in Mani Rathnam’s upcoming mega-budget flick ‘Ravaan’ opposite hubby Abhishek Bachchan did not hesitate in climbing steep mountains for shooting an important sequence of the flick with lead actors Abhi and Vikram.

All the members of the production unit were taken by surprise when Aishwarya trekked the same route twice without any complaint whatsoever. It had even left cut marks on her beautiful persona but Ash was undeterred in her effort and gave the best possible shot.

As Mani Rathanm is making the flick simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil and two different heroes Vikram and Abhishek play the lead, Aishwarya had to accompany both of them to the top of mountain to complete the shoot. Though her beautiful face received some bruise marks and all that but Aishwarya completed the shot convincingly.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan says he feels humbled after receiving the NDTV Indian of the Year award on Wednesday night.

This year, to coincide with its 21st anniversary, NDTV also honoured Indian icons of the last 21 years – among them, Amitabh Bachchan.

On his blog, Bachchan wrote about the ceremony, which he attended with his wife, Jaya, and his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

“NDTV Indian of the Year acknowledging 21 years of the existence of the channel and simultaneously acknowledging Indians that have been an inspiration for the country in these 21 years!!”

It is believed that the star is now being offered a whopping 10 crores for a film. Producer and National Award winner Bobby Pushkarna of Page 3 fame is said to have relentlessly pursued Aishwarya for almost three months to get her to agree to do his film. And it is believed that he had even decided that if Ash would not do his film, then he will not make it.

However you can’t blame the actress for becoming pricier by the day, if produces are willing to chase her around to work for them, one can’t blame her for superciliousness.

Recently Aishwarya has been really busy shooting for her forth coming films that she had to take a decision on the role in the film called ‘Crooked’ by producer Ritesh Sidhwani.This film has Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role with Sarah Jane Dias as his leading lady. The other actresses in the film are Shahana Goswami of the Farhan Akhtar Starrer film ‘Rock On’, Gul Panang. The role that Ash was supposed to play was poised opposite to Abhishek’s character.
In the film she was supposed to catch the gang of thieves and Abhishek was on top of the gang. Thus, according to reports, the role of coming bang opposite to Abhishek did not go well with Ash’s idea of acting in the same film as her husband, so she was not hesitant to give up the role which was lapped up by the Pakistani beauty Sonya Jehan.
Another version of the story goes that since the shooting of this film started on the 14th of January, Aishwarya was very busy with her other commitments and so she had to let go the gutsy role from her kitty. Some grapevine reports also suggest that the director and producer have confirmed the replacement saying that Sonya was brought in as she also has fair skin, light eyes and is very pretty, which fitted the character that was required for the film.

If grapevine is to be believed, Karan Johar is toying with the idea of finally working with Aishwarya Rai, with whom he hasn’t made a single project in his over decade-long career.

“Karan said that Aishwarya is his ideal heroine and all the scripts that he writes are keeping her in mind. He also said that various reasons have veered them from working together. But he is hoping that it is the right time that he gets her to work in his production sometime soon,” said a source, who overheard Karan’s conversation with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The two filmmakers were discussing Aishwarya at Sonali Bendre’s birthday party Dec 31.

“Sanjay Leela Bhansali was overheard telling Karan Johar that Aishwarya is very original and there is no one like her. He further said that if a director has not worked with her in his or her career, it’s a big loss for them. Sanjay also praised her work in Guzaarish,” the source said.

The latest is that Aishwarya has written on her social networking site that she will be spending her time with her baby – Abhishek Bachchan in Goa.

Some scenes in the film will have Ash learning martial arts from the hero.

Aishwarya, who has done action scenes for ‘Dhoom 2′ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, is busy brushing up her action skills. She is learning Karate from Ramesh master so that she could perform her part naturally.

The big budget extravaganza, a science fiction made by showman Shankar, has Rajnikanth playing two roles: One of them is a scientist and the other, a robot he creates. A.R Rahman scores the music for the film.
