South superstar Rajinikanth can’t stop praising Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai after working with her on Tamil film Endhiran, touted to be one of India’s most expensive film projects.

According to a source present at the music launch of the film in Kuala Lumpur last week, Rajinikanth said: “There is no other beauty in our generation like Aishwarya Rai. She is a born artiste.”

Rajinikanth, who shares mutual admiration for Aishwarya’s father-in-law, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, added jokingly: “Amitabh is looking at me from there and warning me not to praise her too much,” the source informed.

Though Amitabh was not present at the music launch, Rajnikant made his presence felt with his words.

Among those who attended the event were music director A.R. Rahman, director S. Shankar and few other technicians, apart from Aishwarya and Rajnikant with his two daughters.

Aishwarya Rai: Is uproar about her Lamhaa case justified?

As Anupam Kher says in Lamhaa, “When Aishwarya Rai is unable to see the moon, it makes news. But why don t the media report the plight of those thousands of Kashmiri wives who haven t seen their husbands for years.”
I ask the same question to you readers: Even as Bollywood boasts of turning liberal and bold, is it still so narrow-minded to miss out the real intention behind the dialogue that is creating some unnecessary uproar?
It’s being reported that Aishwarya Rai has been humiliated in the process. However, the intended purpose of such a line is to emphasize on media’s obsession with glamour over substance.

Aishwarya Rai and Lamhaa and the Joke of Taking Permission from Amitabh Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai has nothing to do with the upcoming Bollywood movie Lamhaa. Sanjay Dutt and Bipasha Basu are the two leading characters of the movie. Just Rai’s name was uttered in a dialogue and Sanjay Dutt had to take the clearance from Amitabh Bachchan about the promo of the movie.
There is no hide and seek about the matter that Amitabh Bachchan is very sensitive about his daughter-in-law. The Bachchans were very unhappy with the kissing scene between Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2.
Anyway, Lamhaa does not contain anything bad about Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter in law. Just, according to Times of India, there is a dialogue like this:
“When Aishwarya Rai is unable to see the moon it makes news. But why doesn’t the media report the plight of those thousands of Kashmiri wives who haven’t seen their husbands for years?”

Swati: While shooting for ‘Raavan’, you had Abhishek on the sets as a co-star, and then you would have dinner with him back home. Isn’t it like too much of Abhishek?

Aishwarya: No…(Laughs). You’re asking a personal question to get a personal answer now!

Swati: But really, how do you balance your personal and professional life?

Amitabh Bachchan is surely the most lovable father in law that any girl could possibly have, under the Sun.
This was proved very recently, when the Bachchan Bahu, Aishwarya, was traveling to the storm affected areas in the South of India.
It so happened, that Ash had to travel to the South straight from the French Riviera Festival, as she had to reach her shooting venue for the Tamil film ‘Endhiran’, which she is doing opposite the Tamil superstar Rajnikanth.

Aishwarya Rai- Abhishek Bachchan piggybacks Aishwarya or Ash piggybacks him?

April 22nd, 2010

By Jilawatan

Remember that emotional scene from ‘Paa’ where the on-screen father Abhishek Bachchan carries his on-screen son Amitabh Bachchan (aka Auro) on his back. Well, that may have been a necessity for the film’s script. But, in real life, too, Abhishek (known for his carefree and kiddish manners) often plays this game and no…….not with children but with his unit members.
For instance, during his shots in Rohan Sippy’s ‘Dum Maro Dum’, Abhishek often showcases his funny side and forces others to pamper him. He refuses to walk on his feet from his vanity van to the sets and demands that he be piggybacked to the set.
And Hussain (a crew member) spoils him by always fulfilling his demand. Hussain quips, “Abhishek meri jaan hai (Abhishek is my life-blood). We do this quite frequently, though not everyday.”
Now, if Abhishek can be such a huge prankster on the sets, then just imagine how naughty he must be with wife Aishwarya in their private moments. And I wonder, behind the closed doors of their bedrooms, if Abhishek piggybacks Ash or is it the other way round? Have you folks and fans of Aishwarya Rai got an inkling to this mystery?
