Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, one of the few hot married actresses of bollywood and daughter-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan, who plays lead opposite Hrithik Roshan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming flick ‘Guzaarish’, has taken leave from the shooting for the premiere of Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek, Vidya starrer ‘Paa’.

Sources close to Bachchan family say that Amitabh was finding it difficult to cope with the invitations and other formalities of upcoming premiere of ‘Paa’, as his better half Jaya Bachchan was in Delhi attending Parliament. Even Abhishek Bachchan was not available to help him in the task (shooting in Goa for Ashutosh Gowarikar), and Big B, at this age, was finding the going very tough for himself.

It was at this juncture that Aishwarya Rai, who has been busily shooting with Hrithik Roshan for ‘Guzaarish’, decided to take leave to help her father- in- law in his task.

A stickler for discipline, punctuality and strict schedules during shooting Sanjay Bhansali is known to shoot through burning fevers and location setbacks, so that his actors’ dates don’t go awry. For the first time in his career as a filmmaker, Sanjay is voluntarily slackening his schedule for Aishwarya.

Later this week Aishwarya will be given a couple of days off at a time when she is required to shoot with Hrithik Roshan. A friend of Sanjay and Aishwarya says, “Aishwarya is not just a leading lady for Sanjay. After doing three films together they are family. Sanjay saw how stressed Aishwarya was, trying to balance Guzaarish with the time required to pitch in with her father-in-law for Paa. In fact, Mr Bachchan has been running around alone inviting the film fraternity for the premiere on December 3 since Abhishek has been shooting non-stop in Goa for Ashutosh Gowariker and Jayaji is in Delhi attending parliament.”

Aishwarya Rai says she is excited about being a mother and hopes she is blessed with a child one day.

Aishwarya was in Delhi for the launch of the new moon and galaxy inspired watch range of Longines PrimaLuna. While talking to the media she fielded a lot of questions on her and Abhishek Bachchan having a child of their own.

She says Abhishek will make a very good father.

“It’s given – I married the man. So obviously I have the conviction in the husband he is or the father he will be.” Also, the way he handles his sister Shweta’s daughter and son, leaves her in no doubt he will make a perfect father.

“Very real, very rooted and very human – which I absolutely relate to!” she added.

Amitabh Bachchan is vowing every one in his turn as Auro in his latest movie- Paa. He plays a progeric son (early ageing person) to Abhishek Bachchan’s character as father.

And the person most impressed is Bahu- Aishwarya Rai.

“He is an incredible human being and a professional. I don’t need to say these words, but he’s leading an extremely busy life with all his commitments,” she says.

She adds, “When I had been to meet Auro in shooting spot, I could hardly recognise him. His dedication and sincerity impressed me. A great actor, his patient wait for the makeup was great.”

Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL) now has a good reason to rejoice.

The reason being, former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, the Bachchan bahu is said to have taken up the responsibility to revive the company, ABCL.

ABCL came into the limelight in 1996 when it brought the Miss World Pageant to India. After that it got into controversies when it was not able to pay its dues.

According to sources the Bachchan’s are very confident about their upcoming flick ‘Paa’ made under ABCL.

Aishwarya has played a pivotal role in planning the marketing strategies of the current film Paa under ABCL.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, while endorsing a watch brand recently, said in the press meet that her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan is her inspiration when it comes to punctuality. The actress has been quoted as saying, “his commitment and dedication is an example for everyone to follow.”

The former beauty queen, who recently completed the shooting of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, has moved on to the sets of Guzarish where she will be sharing the screen space with Hrithik Roshan. Guzarish is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhasali.

Helpless Aishwarya Rai wants some time for Pa as well as Paa. Well, this was her dilemma but thanks to a considerate director, the Bachchan bahu got a few days leave from her taut shooting schedule.

Pa Amitabh Bachchan was all alone whilst shuttling from place to place and juggling his schedule to promote ‘Paa’ and the reason for his solitariness was that all the members of the family were busy. Abhishek Bachchan is in Goa shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s film, Jaya Bachchan was handling politics in the parliament and Ash has a busy schedule because of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’.

So a doting bahu like Ash, expressed her helplessness to Sanjay and then what else – “Sanjay made up his mind to give her some time off on those crucial days on and before the premiere, although it meant considerable schedule adjustment on his part,” a source was quoted by a daily.

Aishwarya Rai says she is fully convinced that actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan will make a good father in real life because he is so “real and rooted”.

“Everybody has been asking me if Abhishek will be a good pa (father) in connection with the release of our forthcoming production ‘Paa’. I think it’s silly for me to be even making the statement. It’s given – I married the man. So obviously I have the conviction in the husband he is or the father he will be,” Aishwarya, 36, told IANS in an interview here.

Asked about Abhishek’s qualities that would make him a good father, Aishwarya laughed and said: “He is very real, very rooted and very human – which I absolutely relate to. His values are evident for everybody to see. We have known each other for so many years.

People would not have forgotten the great music video “Mile Sur Mere Tumaha”, that was aired in Doordarshan almost a couple of decades ago. It features who’s who of India from different fields.

Now a fresh attempt is being taken to render it in a new style and new package. Acclaimed ad filmmaker Kailash Surendranath and Aarti are busy producing and directing the new version.

Some of the big names of Bollywood including Aishwarya Rai, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will feature in it. Amitabh Bachchan, who appeared in the original, too finds his way back in the remake.

Also Shilpa Shetty is expected to be part of it. Interestingly, Deepika Paudkone’s father Prakash Padukone featured in the first version.

Oh yes. Super bahu Ash Bachchan has decided to hold up on Hrithik Roshan starrer Guzaarish shoot only for her dearest Paa. Awwwww. Ain’t THAT cute? NOT!

Now really I dont understand these B’wood families. First they say they adore their work and can do anything to live up to their commitments and the next thing I hear is that Aishwarya has decided to slacken the shoot for Guzaarish … not for her health or anything but to promote her husband and dad-in-law’s film Paa! Where is the professionalism Ms Superbahu?

So a little birdie told me how much the schedule had to be rearranged for this sudden decision of the Bachchan bahu. But Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali thinks nothing of the inconvenience caused. They are almost family you see. Dear LORD!
