Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is hitting headlines once again for a controversial issue. There is a huge humdrum on the net that Aishwarya Rai turned down the offer to dance with Shahrukh Khan in a recently held award function.
Grapevine has it that the King Khan wanted to shake a leg with Aishwarya on her hit item number ‘Kajra re’. But Aishwarya turned down the offer apparently coz she didn’t want to dance on the track with SRK. Aishwarya had made this ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ song hit by gyrating to this seductive number alongside Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan.
Aishwarya, therefore, considers this song a family affair and does not intend to shake legs on it with anyone other than Abhishek or Amitabh. Since SRK is neither her hubby nor her father-in-law, she refused the request placed by the organisers.
Shahrukh had been planning a gig around the tinsel town’s ladies over the years and wanted to conclude it with ‘kajra re’ with Aish. But after Aish snubbed him, he was compelled to shelve his plan.
Neither Aishwarya nor SRK has commented on the issue and one wonders if things are all normal between the two!

When sources caught Abhi and Aish together, the couple was seen in very much love with each other, and Abhi has no doubts in saying that Aish is a very supportive and understanding wife.

While talking to the sources Abhi said, “Aishwarya is very supportive and encouraging. She is a very chilled out person and doesn’t take things to heart,”

“People ask me if I changed after marriage. But I just say ‘Why should I change?’ Aishwarya loves me the way I am and married me for the way I am. Then why should I change at all,” he added.

The couple had announced their engagement on January 14, 2007 and after 3 months, they tied the knot on April 20, 2007. All the arrangements for the wedding ceremony was made at the Bachchan’s residence ‘Prateeksha’ in Juhu, Mumbai.

Sushmita Sen will appear in an item number in Sajid Khan’s film, Housefull, dancing to the remixed version of the famous song ‘Apni Toh Jaise Taisi’.

Confirmation of Sushmita’s appearance in the song – first made famous by Amitabh Bachchan in the 1981 blockbuster Lawaaris – puts persistent rumours of Aishwarya Rai’s appearance in the Housefull item number to rest.

While Aishwarya Rai was indeed approached to appear in the song, sources say she has turned the offer down, allegedly due to the link the song has with her father-in-law. She is also currently busy with a filming schedule including Guzaarish, Action Replay and Endhiran. Had Aish agreed, it would have been only her third item number appearance, following ‘Ishq Kamina’ (with Shahrukh Khan in the film Shakti – The Power) and ‘Kajra Re’ (with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan in the film Bunty Aur Babli).

When it comes to the Bachchans, it all runs in the family.

The news is that Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan will do an item number in comedian-turned-director Sajid Khan’s upcoming multistarrer, Housefull.

The song to which Ash will be gyrating is said to be dad-in-law Amitabh Bachchan’s hit number, Apni toh jaise taise, from his 1981 hit Laawaris.

The film’s producer, Sajid Nadiadwala, has bought the rights of the song, though Sajid Khan is mum. “I am neither confirming nor denying the news. We will make an announcement at the right time,” says Khan.

Of late, the Bachchans have been going out of their way to push the prospects of each other. Last week, when Abhishek Bachchan made his debut as a TV show host–Bingo on Colors channel–Big B was his first guest.

Obviously, Abhishek needs all the push.

Sajid Khan is on cloud nine ever since Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has agreed to do an item number for his upcoming film, Houseful that stars Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone. Ash has already allotted four days for the shooting of the item song.
A source said, “Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan spoke to Ash about the song, which will be the promotional track of the film. It however, remains to be seen if the song will be a part of the film or will it be just a promotional song. All the actors of the film Akshay, Deepika, Arjun, Ritesh, Jiah, Lara will be part of the song and it will be shot in a grand scale with over 500 extras and about 200 dancers on a huge set which will be installed at Filmcity. Ash will shoot for the song after she finishes her schedule for Action Replay.”

On September 28. With about five billion fans globally, Filmfare Award winners Aishwarya Rai (Devdas), 35, and Abhishek Bachchan (Bunty Aur Babli), 33, described it as normal and absolutely natural. Abhishek’s grandparents also lived with them before they passed away.

They have to abide by few household rules also—like having one meal a day together if everybody is in Mumbai, where they live.

When they have time for themselves (they appear in five-six movies a year, as compared to one-two films of Hollywood actors).
