Bollywood actors Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan are two of the biggest stars of the tinsel town. And it is no surprise that they have a colossal fan following; something that guarantees that the paparazzi keep hounding them.

And recently at the Filmfare nomination bash, the two were spotted together sharing a light moment. Aishwarya Rai was snapped laughing at an apparent joke that the witty King Khan cracked. So, this indicates that things are perfectly alright between SRK and Ash.
However, things haven’t been completely alright between the two over the years and they have been on no-speaking terms before. That was when Aishwarya Rai had to walk out of SRK’s film ‘Chalte Chalte’ following some relationship problems with actor Salman Khan.
At that point of time, Ash and Salman were in a relationship but with Salman trying to control her life, she was finding it hard to maintain amiability. She also had a fall-out with Shahrukh at that time on the sets of ‘Chalte Chalte.’
However, now we can safely say that SRK and Ash are presently very much on cordial terms. There is no rift going on and it’s ironic that both are harbouring cold rivalry with Salman Khan. It’s to be seen if we get to see the ‘Devdas’ jodi back on the silver screen some time!

Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai were spotted sharing a light moment at the Filmfare nomination bash in Mumbai recently.

Shahrukh and Ash have had a chequered working relationship. Years ago, the duo who sparked a matchless chemistry in Devdas fell out after Ash’s relationship woes with Salman Khan spilled over on the sets of the movie Chalte Chalte, following which Ash was dropped from the project and SRK vowed never to work with her again.

The freeze between them slowly thawed over the years but there have always been whispers of a lingering friction between the two. But at the nomination bash of Filmfare Awards, SRK and Ash were spotted without their respective spouses. There was no awkwardness between them. Rather, they shared a light moment, with SRK cracking his usual humour.

Shah Rukh Khan, the King of bollywood who plays the character of a superhero in Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming ‘Ra 1’ opposite sizzling hot sexy bombshell Kareena Kapoor, has successfully roped in another gorgeous beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the film.

Sources say that Aishwarya Rai’s role is that of a cameo wherein she will be playing herself, a big bollywood star, and a big fan of hers would get a chance to meet the beautiful lady. Though the scene is small but it becomes significant in the light of Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan not working with each other after Salman Khan had created disturbance on the sets of SRK’s ‘Chalte Chalte’, and the subsequent replacement of Aishwarya by Rani Mukherji in the film.

Sources close to Shah Rukh Khan say that it all happened at the birthday bash of Hrithik Roshan, where Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai were present with their respective spouses—cc and Abhishek Bachchan- and mingled freely.

At a recent get-together, Aishwarya Rai was approached by SRK to play a cameo in his next, ‘RA.One’, which is directed by Anubhav Sinha.

They were last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Devdas’. After the ‘Chalte Chalte’ fiasco, Aishwarya and Shah Rukh have never worked together. Both of them have tried working on several projects, but nothing materialized.

A source revealed that at a social get-together recently, Shah Rukh and Gauri were seen in the company of Abhi-Ash. Both the couples were bonding and had a long chat about movies and forthcoming projects. It was at this moment that Shah Rukh spoke about ‘RA.One’. The source also said that SRK mentioned a scene to Aishwarya where she has to play herself in the film. It is a cameo. The scene is yet to be scripted, but so far it is about a character in the film that is Ash’s biggest fan and actually gets to meet her. It is believed that Abhishek who was listening to the whole conversation encouraged Ash to do it.

It once used to be said about nautankis and nautankiwalis of stage and reel that the correct rule describing their relevance was simply to be limited to ‘paisa pheko tamasha dekho.’ That’s where the mainstream Indian public may need to end up placing Aishwarya Rai in retrospect ultimately.

Khan had also suggested Rai was manipulating professional platform using personal associations. From commercial perspective, Khan’s decision to kick Rai out may have worked as Chalte Chalte fared alright at the box office, faring just under the moderate budget hits of the year.

Tthe Bachchans for the shutterbugs at the Drona premiere last year. And more recently, at Karan Johar’s birthday party on May 25, the two couples — SRK and Gauri, Ash and Abhi — spent quality time together.

Sources say that Ash may star opposite SRK in sci-fi flick Ra 1, SRK’s home production or it could be a new film altogether. In Ra 1, SRK plays father to a teenage son and Ash could easily play a hot mamma. SRK and Ash had no qualms about working together until Salman Khan threw a fit on the sets of Chalte Chalte which resulted in Ash’s ouster from the film. The role then went to Rani Mukerji.

This created a rift between SRK and Ash and SRK and Salman. The latter made up a few years later at Farah’s sangeet ceremony to fight again at Katrina’s birthday bash last year. SRK and Ash made up at Karan Johar’s birthday bash earlier this year.
