SRK Ash jodi back togetherRemember, they parted on a sour note after her hasty departure from his home production Chalte Chalte six years ago.

She had already canned a portion of the film when Salman Khan reportedly landed on the sets… and, well, the rest as they say is history.

Post that scene, Shahrukh khan let Ash off the hook and took Rani Mukerji as his leading lady.

And, since then, many big banners including Yashraj and Dharma failed to reunite the pair that created such magic in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas.

Subsequently, though the Bollywood Badshah wasn’t invited to the Ash-Abhishek wedding, King Khan and wife Gauri posed with

Tthe Bachchans for the shutterbugs at the Drona premiere last year. And more recently, at Karan Johar’s birthday party on May 25, the two couples — SRK and Gauri, Ash and Abhi — spent quality time together.

Rakhi Sawant surely couldn’t have asked for more. A Rs 30 lakh (Rs 3 million) necklace designed by Farah Ali Khan, a lehenga-choli wedding dress by celebrity designer Neeta Lulla, a ‘swayamvar’ on national television and a grand wedding to be watched by millions across the country.

The former ‘item girl’, who has had a rags-to-riches career, will marry on NDTV Imagine’s reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar soon. She will choose her “perfect man” from among nine grooms who have come from cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Rishikesh, Jaipur and Kanpur and even from places as far off as Toronto.

National award winning designer Neeta Lulla, who is one of Aishwarya Rai’s favourite designers, and ace jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali have been roped in to help Rakhi look her best on her D-day. And the two are doing every bit they can to fulfil the bride-to-be’s wish to look like a “princess” that special day.

stunners20in20sarisIt’s gorgeous. It’s graceful. And it sure as hell is sexy. That’s the Indian sari for you! Regardless of the body type it’s draped around, the result is assuredly elegant. Considering Bollywood’s love for blending traditional with contemporary, the sari’s latest avatar with sensual is both — stunning enough to make a statement as well as an attractive reminder of all things desi.

Here’s a look at our leading divas sporting seven yards of irresistible sensuality in a way only they can. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Traditional attire becomes her, an accomplishment not many can boast of. Except Padmashree recipient Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, that is. The star of period flicks like Devdas, Jodhaa Akbar and Umrao Jaan lends her sari a smoking hot twist with generous help from a halter neck inspired blouse.

Sanjay leela Bansali’s next Mega-Budget Film starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & Hrithik Roshan in lead role, is titled as GUZARISH.After creating history by becoming the first Indian to bag the Oscar Award for best sound mixing for Slumdog Millionaire, Resul Pookutty is now looking forward to put his audio wizardry in Sanjay Bhansali’s next film featuring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan which is scheduled to start later this year.

Sanjay recalls his first association with Resul and says, “My assistant Vikram Motwane had suggested Resul’s name. For Devdas, Resul recorded the sounds of a hurling train for the climax, I hadn’t met Resul then. For Black, I worked with him for the first time on a complete film. I realised how meticulously he designed the sound and by sound, I also mean the way Resul uses silences on soundtrack.”

Will Aishwarya fight Lok Sabha election?

Will Aishwarya fight Lok Sabha electionWill Aishwarya Rai fight Lok Sabha elections on Samajwadi party ticket? The question has become more intense following the sudden announcement of Sanjay Dutt’s candidature from Lucknow on Samajwadi party ticket.

It seems amazing but unfortunate that a follower of Lohiya, Mulayam Singh Yadav has started running behind Bollywood stars, even tainted ones in order to win some Parliamentary seats.

It is not just an issue of Aishwarya Rai. She is a wonderful woman and a great actress, but there are already several Bollywood personalities who anyhow overshadow this Lohiyaite Mulayam Singh Yadav.

There are already two Jayas, Jaya Parda and Jaya Bachchan. Now there will be along list of other stars who will give company to these Bollywood personalities.

Samajwadi party is trying to rope in everyone it seems fit to win election to contest next Lok Sabha elections for it. Just two days ago the party announced the name of Sanjay Dutt as a candidate from Lucknow Lok Sabha seat.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who played Paro in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas, is following Pa B and hubby Abhishek’s example – by singing a song!

The musical duo of Vishal-Shekhar, who talked Abhishek into the groovy hip hop number Right Here Right Now, has also convinced Ash to sing for them.

“You won’t believe what an amazing voice Ash has! We’ve talked her into singing a song for us and we’re going to record it very soon,” says Shekhar. And is it in a movie that they’re composing for? “No, no. Right now, we’re only recording it, before Ash changes her mind! We’ll see what to do with it in the future,” he laughs.

And their hip hop number for AB Sr for the upcoming Aladdin – is it going to be in Hindi, English or a mix of both? “Sab kuch hai usme. Mr Bachchan has a phenomenal voice and there’s so much music in him,” replies Shekhar.

Mads-Ash give Neeta hard time

July 17th, 2008

Now this is by far the funniest I have heard in a really long time. Seems like Neeta Lulla is having a really tough time these days. The hotshot designer has been shuttling between USA and India. And all this just to dress up two women…

I’m told the Bachchans have been very keen on making The Unforgettable Tour a huge success. And Madhuri Dixit has agreed to join in and perform the Dola Re number from Devdas with Aishwarya Rai.

The hitch is this: the two women now want completely new costumes and since they’re based in different continents, poor Neeta is going crazy…and perhaps secretly hoping that the two don’t fight over the weight of the lehenga this time.
