Stardom isn’t exactly a cakewalk for our celebs. Take the handsome couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan for example. The duo have had a busy year churning one release after the other and now they don’t even have time to take a holiday off for their fourth wedding anniversary!

Abhishek, who is looking forward to the relase of his film Dum Maaro Dum on 22nd April, will be busy promoting the Bipasha Basu, Prateik Babbar and Rana Daggubati starrer. And to add to his cramped dates, he will immediately start shooting for Abbas-Mustan’s Players after DMD with a huge star cast of Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Omi Vaidya.

Last year, Abhi had taken Ash to the US on their anniversary. The year before that, the two were busy with Mani Ratnam’s Raavan but had managed to take some time off for themselves. On their first anniversary in 2008, Aishwarya had joined Abhishek in Miami as he was shooting for Dostana with John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra.

Holmes khabri says that it was Contractor who decked up Junior Mrs B for all her ads, including the ones for Loreal. So, she had to be by his side to encourage him on his big day. Clap!
But I’m told that Ash was falling all over her pati parmeshwar Abhishek Bachchan, giggling all evening. She was even pulling his cheeks and coochie-cooing with him at the do.

Next: she was seen getting too pally for comfort with director Tarun Mansukhani who worked with Abhishek on Dostana, and will work soon with him on Dostana 2. Guess, that was the reason that she was pulling his cheeks and unsteadying his hair too!

After getting part of the Bachchan clan, it seemed a little odd. But the way in which bahu Aishwarya Rai refused to work in the next movie of Vipul Shah. She simply said that she did not want to work opposite to her husband Abhishek Bachchan.

She has instead asked the filmmaker to cast her toughest competitor at present in the industry, Katrina Kaif, to work opposite to him. A source close to the development said that when Vipul spoke to Ash about the role she started thinking and then suggested that Katrina be cast instead of her.

This is not the first time though that such a stand has been taken by former beauty queen and a good actress. Earlier too she had refused to work opposite to Abhi during the flick, ‘Dostana’. Then came ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ and ‘Game’, where the same response was given and each time she came up with one or the other excuse.

This is not the first time that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has said ‘no’ to a film opposite her husband Abhishek.

In 2009 she turned down Dostana, saying the concept of romancing a second man while her husband was on screen with her and eventually walking away with a third, did not appeal to her. Later she refused Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se and then Abhineo Deo’s Game.

Vipul Shah’s film goes on floors this year. And it doesn’t have a leading lady. Says a source, “Vipul spoke to Aishwarya about being cast opposite Abhishek. But she thinks she can’t add anything to the project. In fact, Aishwarya suggested that Vipul cast Katrina instead.

Vipul however denies having approached Aishwarya, “So far we haven’t really discussed the project.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar today said rumours about Aishwarya Rai dissuading husband Abhishek Bachchan from working with Katrina Kaif were baseless and ridiculous. “Rumours about Aishwariya dissuading Abhishek from working with Katrina are absolutely baseless and ridiculous!!! The cast of Dostana 2 is Abhishek, John and Katrina and we start filming early next year!! Bringing Aishwarya into this is unwarranted!!,” Karan wrote on the microblogging site Twitter.
Dostana 2 is the sequel to the 2008 John-Abhishek -Priyanka Chopra starrer Dostana. It is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and is a Karan Johar Production.

According to reports in a section of the media, Katrina allegedly walked out of the Abbas- Mastan movie inspired by Italian Job likely to feature Abhishek Bachchan. Hence, Aishwarya wanted her husband to be out of the Karan Johar film.

Abhishek and Katrina have been paired opposite each other in Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar, a few years ago.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya’s Rai Bachchan, celebrate their 3rd marriage anniversary today. According to Big b’s blog, the couple is to celebrate their anniversary in New York and is expected to be back by the 24th of April.
The young Bachchan couple got married in 2007, in Mumbai. They celebrated their first anniversary in Mauritius where Abhishek was shooting for his film’ Dostana’, and ash had joined him later.

Bollywood’s most glamorous couple will have their 2nd honeymoon abroad on their second marriage anniversary on April 20.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are off for a week-long holiday to an undisclosed destination to celebrate their 2nd annivarsary.

Says a source, “Last year Abhishek was slogging it out in Miami for Dostana and Aishwarya joined him there for their wedding anniversary. This year they were again supposed to be working, though happily together, for the next schedule of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan on their anniversary.”

Says the source, “In fact Mani had suggested he’d start the schedule later to give Abhishek and Aishwarya a chance to take time off for their anniversary. But the couple had refused. It’s only now when the schedule is pushed ahead that they’ve decided to take that anniversary holiday.”

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan got nostalgic while filming an ad with wife Aishwarya Rai at Filmistan Studios, the same location where they gave their first shot together 11 years ago when they were mere acquaintances.

“It was here on the very same floor 11 years ago that we gave our first ever shot together. The movie was ‘Dhai Akshar Prem Ke’. Great memories,” Abhishek posted on his Twitter page.

“Then, I would have never dreamt that the next time we shoot here would be as husband and wife. How time flies, how lives change,” he added.

Produced by actor Dino Morea, the ad film was shot Tuesday by filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani who directed Abhishek in the hit film “Dostana”.

“Shooting an ad with the Mrs (Aishwarya). My friend Tarun directing. Great to step in front of his camera again. He’s great. And we’re all set! The wife is looking her usual stunning self, and me……. Well, I’m looking like Shrek’s cousin,” he joked.

A prominent doctor is in Aishwarya Rai’s friends list who got married recently. Naturally Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan made sure that both will present to wish the doctor and his wife.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not only attended all the functions, but was also spotted mingling with the family and the guests of the doctor’s family.

Interestingly Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchanthe was spotted dancing enthusiastically to the song Desi Girl.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was most excited about Abhishek’s Dostana song and even encouraged a few kids to join her. The couple spent a long time dancing together and stayed till the end. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is particularly fond of this Doctor friend because it was he who came to her rescue when a couple of guys tried to eve tease her, when she first started modelling in college. They became good friends instantly and remain so to this day.

Bollywood’s most talked about married couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai won’t be in India for their second wedding anniversary. They have taken off on a week-long holiday to an undisclosed destination.

“Last year Abhishek was slogging it out in Miami for Dostana and Aishwarya joined him there for their wedding anniversary.

This year they were again supposed to be working, though happily together, for the next schedule of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan on their anniversary,” a source close to the couple said.

But Ratnam, who was admitted to a private hospital Wednesday following breathing difficulty and dizziness, has been advised by doctor to rest for a while as a result the the schedule of Raavan has been slightly pushed ahead giving the pair a chance to go for a much-needed holiday.
