Rumours were abuzz that Ash will shake a leg to her sasur ji Amitabh Bachchan’s famous 1981 Laawaris number ‘Apni To Jaise Taise’ in Nadiawala’s ‘Houseful’. But the floating rumours have been put to rest by sources that claim that Ash has still not okayed the part. A source close to Ash said, “Aishwarya has been approached by Sajid Khan but she has yet to revert back to them. She is busy with the shooting of ‘Guzaarish’, ‘Action Replay’ and ‘Endhiran’.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is said to have bought the rights of the song already.

If Ash nods her head in agreement then this would be her third item number after ‘Ishq Kamina’ with Shah Rukh Khan and ‘Kajra Re’ with hubby Abhishek and Father-in-law Amitabh.

Sushmita Sen will appear in an item number in Sajid Khan’s film, Housefull, dancing to the remixed version of the famous song ‘Apni Toh Jaise Taisi’.

Confirmation of Sushmita’s appearance in the song – first made famous by Amitabh Bachchan in the 1981 blockbuster Lawaaris – puts persistent rumours of Aishwarya Rai’s appearance in the Housefull item number to rest.

While Aishwarya Rai was indeed approached to appear in the song, sources say she has turned the offer down, allegedly due to the link the song has with her father-in-law. She is also currently busy with a filming schedule including Guzaarish, Action Replay and Endhiran. Had Aish agreed, it would have been only her third item number appearance, following ‘Ishq Kamina’ (with Shahrukh Khan in the film Shakti - The Power) and ‘Kajra Re’ (with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan in the film Bunty Aur Babli).

After much anticipation, Indian actress and former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai has paired up with South Indian superstar Rajnikanth in the sci-fi thriller Endhiran due sometime this year. The Tamil movie which is directed by film-making maestro Shankar is shot in discreet for over a year and according to the South Indian director, the shooting for the entire movie has been almost completed. Endhiran which is also known as ‘Endhiran, The Robot’, tells the story of a android-human ,Prem, and at Rs.125 crores which is equivalent to USD$ 27 mil, it is the most expensive movie ever to be made in Tamil.

Some of scenic shots for this thriller were made in Peru and during the shoot a few unauthorized snaphots by trespassing groups of paparazzi were leaked to the Internet. Many of the stunts in this movie were carried out by the 60 year-old veteran himself. Rajnikanth suffered from minor injuries during a dangerous train-leaping scene in Mumbai under the supervision of action choreographer, Peter Haynes.

Another film to rock with the audience is the one with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the super star of the south Rajnikant.
The film is called ‘Endhiran’, and it is produced by Sun Pictures. The direction is given by Shankar. The film has a whopping budget of Rs 125 crores.

Recently a fight sequence was shot in Pune and Lonavala and the shot was on Rajnikant who had to go through vigorous fight scenes. Along with other actors of the film, even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays the leading lady in the film, was present at the shooting venues.

The film is yet to be completed and is scheduled to release sometime in the second half of this year.Even though Aishwarya did not have any release in 2009, she is going to have a line of releases in 2010. There is Raavan with husband Abhishek Bachchan and also Action Replay with action hero Akshay Kumar.

Endhiran an upcoming South India film starring Bollywood supestar Aishwarya Rai and Rajini Kanth is said to be one of the most expensive movie ever produced in India.

To give a romantic touch to it, the director has included a romantic scene between Aish and Rajinikant. The most interesting thing of the romantic scene is that it has been filmed inside a Benz car.

A high end model of Benz car which costs Rs. 1 crore has been purchased to shoot that love sequence. Rajini, to look younger and to match up to Aishwarya rai is reported to have undergone various facial treatments.

Ash and Rajini kanth romancing in a car at Kulu Manali has in fact raised the eagerness of Aish/Rajini fans to watch the film.

Endhiran has made Aishwarya the highest paid actress in Bollywood. She has been paid a whopping amount of Rs 6 crores. The film ss made at a total budget of 165 crores.

A recent report suggested that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was replaced by Madhuri Dixit as a judge on one of the reality shows because she demanded a huge fee. Aishwarya’s PR manager says that the report is absolutely false.

The actress had to refuse the show on account of her film commitment. She is presently busy with a schedule of Guzaarish, while Endhiran (Robot), Action Replayy and Ravaana are near completion thus the subject of remuneration was never discussed.

The proposal had come to Aishwarya through the Moranis and even Shiamak Davar tried to push her to do the show, but her dates could not be worked out.

Shiamak added, “I would love to have her as she is the best. We go back a long way. I have been her teacher and worked closely with her on Taal and numerous stage shows.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says no to reality shows due to her film commitments.

A recent news story issued by a channel suggested Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was ousted by Madhuri Dixit for one of their reality shows, citing monies as an issue.

It’s alarming and rather sad to see that a channel by issuing such a statement is trying to ride on the popularity of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to get publicity for their reality show.

We would wish to clarify that this is an act of fiction, fact being that ARB who is known to be.

A through professional had to refuse the show on account of her commitment to films. She is presently busy with a grueling schedule of GUZAARISH, while ENDHIRAN (ROBOT), ACTION REPLAY and RAVAAN is all near completion thus the subject of monies and costing never did arise as discussions did not go beyond schedules and dates.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (35) is the highest paid Indian film heroine. Still, for her to land an eye watering Rs 6 crore for.

The Robot is India’s most expensive film to date. It was reportedly budgeted at Rs 128.70 crore but after one schedule in Brazil, the budget was expanded to Rs 150 crore.

That’s when the original producers Ayngaran and Eros  upped and left, leaving the film to the loving care of the Brothers Maran (Sun TV) who were delighted to take over.

Reports have it that with a 27 per cent hike in crew remuneration (most of the technicians are American and have to be paid in dollars) the cost of The Robot or Endhiran, as it is called in Tamil, is set to skyrocket to Rs 165 crore. A new high for Indian cinema.
