2010 was a year that saw the maturing audience preferring content over stars. When small-budget films and intellectual scripts saw thumbs up from the public, some over hyped films were bloopers. Here’s a look at 5 disaster films of 2010:
1. Kites: Riding on huge hype and hoopla, ‘Kites’ came bringing in a smouldering chemistry between Greek God Hrithik and the Mexican curry Barbara, but dearth of a good screenplay made the film lick dust at box office. It was one of the biggest duds of 2010.

Guzaarish, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film that hits theatres on 19th November, is spawning headlines in gossip galleries as its release date draws nearer.
And with vigorous and aggressive promotions keeping everyone on his or her toe, director Bhansali is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the purity of his film’s characters.
Hrithik and Aishwarya are the two chief protagonists of the film and the romance between them has been presented in a very chaste and platonic way. There is subtlety and complete purity in their romance. Sanjay was determined to manifest their love in such a passionate and pristine way that he incorporated dialogues from Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 classic Romeo and Juliet.

Its Aishwarya, who is the creative honcho in Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’ team. It’s an uncredited honour, though. The passionate filmmaker has found a friend, philosopher and guide in his old pal Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Known to be insanely possessive about his projects, SLB is famed for taking all the creative decisions himself. Not any longer.
An insider on his set whispers, “Sanjay consults Aishwarya on everything connected with ‘Guzaarish’. Her words really matter to him and he asks her to be present on the sets even when she is not required for a scene.”
Apart from her stunning physicality and talent, what has earned respect for Ash in the eyes of Bhansali is her unstinting professionalism. After co star’s Hrithik’s recent b’day bash, when everyone partied till the wee hours of the morning, it was only Ash who reported on time for next day’s shooting.
