Aishwarya Rai completes a decade at the Cannes, walked the red carpet on May 11, the opening day of the festival.

The 37-year-old Bollywood actress wore a stunning white and navy Armani Privé gown which captured the eyes of audience, guests and media cameras. The second day saw the stunning Indian diva, walk the red carpet at the Sleeping Beauty premiere.

Rani Mukherjee, Mallika Sherawat, Sonam Kapoor, Minissha Lamba, Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan will also attend the 2011 Cannes Film Festival premiere. Aishwarya has always known what suits her best, in terms of make-up and she brought it to force on the international stage with dewy soft lips and clear eyes.

This is not the first time that she captured the eyes of audience, guests and media cameras, she every year represents an international cosmetic brand at the festival.

Excuse moi while I answer this call on my kaaliberry. It’s a parinda from Andheri’s Lokhandwala Complex, claiming to have a nugget on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The global beauty was sporting enough to sing a few lines of the track, All that jazz… at a FICCI event recently.

Seems like Manasi Scott, who was crooning the chartbuster, was encouraging every one in the audience to join her.

While Karan Johar excused himself saying he had a sore throat, Shah Rukh Khan politely declined. That’s when Ash agreed to sing a few lines, inspiring Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, who was also present for the function, to join in.

Aishwarya Rai made our hearts stop in a baby pink net sari and sleeveless silk blouse at the FICCI FRAMES Excellence Awards 2011 at Hotel Renaissance in Powai, Mumbai on Friday, March 25.

The 37-year-old Guzaarish star was honored with Decade of Global Achievement award for her contribution to Hindi cinema. The award was presented by Yash Raj Chopra.

Aishwarya’s delicate net saree had embroidery accent and embellishments. She paired it with a back baring matching silk blouse.

She matched the delicate theme of her overall look with light jewelery – stud earrings, a diamond bracelet and statement rings on both her hands.

Her hair was styled straight with a side parting. She wore glossy pink lipstick complimenting her dress color; smoky eye makeup accentuating her green eyes.

She was also seen sharing good laughs with Vidya Balan after congratulating her on her Best Actress award for her role in Ishqiya.

Aishwarya’s family members were not with her at the event.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will felicitate Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman who will be in the country to attend FICCI.

It is learnt that Karan Johar as well as the industry body has requested Ash to honour Hugh, as she is one of the few Indian actors to have made her mark internationally.

Aishwarya Rai will meet Hugh on 25 March 2011 (the final day of the event) and also present the Australian star with a memento of appreciation.

“We have a great relationship. We always put up our feet and laugh at each other or talk about fun stuff”, says Karan Johar about his bonding with Aishwarya Rai. “We enjoy ‘intelligent analysis’ (which is my new phrase). I have known her for years and though we have never worked together, I know we will be fantastic together on celluloid as actor and director”.

Talking about her immense talent, KJo says “She does not just have beauty, but also drive. All sorts of criticism has come her way, but she has only worked harder – in films in Mumbai and down South, endorsements and appearances in India and abroad. She has made a huge brand of herself. Not many people.”

Talking about his first interaction with Aishwarya, Karan says, “I approached nine heroines for the part eventually played by Rani Mukherji in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai . All had detailed narrations; all said they loved it and would call me back. But of the nine, only Aishwarya called back and said she could not do it because her dates were given to Jeans . She had the grace to call back and have a detailed discussion, which was very encouraging for me as a first-time film-maker.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was not feeling well, but she still managed to put on a performance at this year’s Zee Cine Awards.
The dancing queen showed off moves from movies like Endhiran, the Robot and Action Replayy, and the crowd went wild more than once!

It’s easy to see that Ash is not in top shape, but her fellow B-town colleagues, including Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar and Deepika Padukone encourage her from the sidelines.

While others who added Bollywood zing to the reception were Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and also Karan Johar.

SRK and Rani took some time out and were seen enjoying each other’s company and posing for photogs, but we can’t say the same for Ash and Rani. Karan Johar is back on your television with his usual cup of hot coffee. And as the curtains were raised on the 3rd edition of the show this Sunday, the very 1st episode featured the much-loved couple of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.
This is their first TV appearance together and both looked comfortable in the couch with their friend Karan who was at his intruding best. After the usual exchange of pleasantries, they brewed a lot of gossip mostly pertaining to the industry and family and some straying off towards their personal life.

While Abhishek was generous in his applause towards Aishwarya’s beauty, his wife, at times, passed on the question when they went dangerously close towards some tabooed men (read Salman and Vivek).
For instance, when Karan asked her which men won’t be a part of the party hosted by her, she raised her eyebrows and passed the question daring not to answer that one. Her hubby looked more relaxed and candid and blatantly reasoned that the reason why he didn’t invite the entire industry in his wedding was due to his grandmom Teji Bachchan’s frail health.
The show came to an end with a brief glimpse into the next week’s episode that would have the chocolate boys Imran khan and Ranbir Kapoor. You gonna watch?

Filmmaker Karan Johar today said rumours about Aishwarya Rai dissuading husband Abhishek Bachchan from working with Katrina Kaif were baseless and ridiculous. “Rumours about Aishwariya dissuading Abhishek from working with Katrina are absolutely baseless and ridiculous!!! The cast of Dostana 2 is Abhishek, John and Katrina and we start filming early next year!! Bringing Aishwarya into this is unwarranted!!,” Karan wrote on the microblogging site Twitter.
Dostana 2 is the sequel to the 2008 John-Abhishek -Priyanka Chopra starrer Dostana. It is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and is a Karan Johar Production.

According to reports in a section of the media, Katrina allegedly walked out of the Abbas- Mastan movie inspired by Italian Job likely to feature Abhishek Bachchan. Hence, Aishwarya wanted her husband to be out of the Karan Johar film.

Abhishek and Katrina have been paired opposite each other in Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar, a few years ago.
