Aishwarya Rai: Will she pen the Salman Khan saga in her autobiography?

By Jilawatan

Though Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor are, currently, ruling the B-town with right doses of glamour and talent, it is the veteran Aishwarya Rai who defeats them comprehensively when it comes to global popularity.

Unlike the likes of Kareena and Priyanka, Aishwarya is renowned worldwide (after all, she had won the coveted pageant at the Miss World). Aishwarya’s global supremacy also accounts from the fact that she has worked in a slew of crossover films like ‘Pink Panther 2’, ‘The Last Legion’, ‘Bride and Prejudice’ and so on.
Reportedly, a few foreign publishers are insisting Aishwarya to pen her autobiography. In fact, they are ready to pay out handsome fee to her. As per reports, she has also been approached with a blank cheque by a publisher itching to print her journey from her modelling days to her Bollywood crown.
Publishers are also eyeing that she dishes out her relationship tales in the autobiography. In fact, Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi controversies are significant parts of her life and would make her books fly off the shelf in a jiffy.
But then Aishwarya being a very private person is brooding over it. She hasn’t yet given her nod and even if she does so, it is highly unlikely that she would serve her readers a dose of her spicy romance. But the publishers can still keep their fingers crossed.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has apparently been offered a bomb to write her autobiography by a foreign publishing house.

A source said, “Ash remains a global icon who has managed to be at the top of the game for years despite constant good work from younger actors like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra. Though the industry feels that Kareena is the numero uno star in B-town, in terms of global presence Ash wins over them all. Publishers want to explore the possibility of an autobiography of her journey from modeling to films and her relationships to marriage. They feel here is a fantastic real-life story to be told.”

One foreign publisher apparently went with a blank cheque to Ash and asked her to quote her price. However, Ash is unsure whether it is the right time to write a book. “She respects her privacy and this is the major roadblock in sealing the deal,” said the source.

Bachchan bahu Aishwarya Rai may be one of the leading actresses of Bollywood but she has never quite been able to shed her inhibitions and become a real pro. This is the age where actors like Aamir Khan go to any extent to provide authenticity to their characters.
But Aishwarya’s coyness may have proved a hurdle to a free-flowing more exuberant acting career. Unlike Angelina Jolie, with whom she is often compared, Aishwarya is not comfortable about screen intimacy.

A section of the industry is abuzz with the news that beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is demanding changes in the script of ‘Heroine’. The film is the brainchild of noted Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar, who is famous for his realistic movies. In spite of her eagerness to act in the film, Aishwarya Rai is reportedly averse to the intimate scenes mentioned in the script. Initially, the size zero diva Kareena Kapoor was approached for the role. However, she turned down the offer as she could not accommodate dates.

Madhur Bhandarkar, on his part, is unwilling to make any changes to the script. A source close to the director said that Madhur did scheme the script so meticulously that he does not want even a minute aspect of it to be omitted. The unyielding director is rather ready to opt for a different leading lady instead.
