Vidya Balan may not be too happy with this news. Rumours have it that Vidya’s ‘boyfriend’ and UTV’s head honcho Siddharth Roy Kapur is very keen to make a film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The story of his film is reportedly very similar to his girlfriend`s film.
We all know that Vidya and Siddharth have been an item for sometime now. So it is expected that Sid would cast his girlfriend in his film. But being the professional that he is, he feels Ash and not Vidya would be apt for the film which is to be directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.
Speaking to a daily, a trade source said, “Madhur Bhandarkar had almost shelved Heroine. He even told this to a senior journalist over a cup of coffee on March 2 that he wasn`t keen to make this film because Milan Luthria`s making The Dirty Picture(which stars Vidya in the lead) that`s also set against the backdrop of the film industry.

A section of the industry is abuzz with the news that beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is demanding changes in the script of ‘Heroine’. The film is the brainchild of noted Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar, who is famous for his realistic movies. In spite of her eagerness to act in the film, Aishwarya Rai is reportedly averse to the intimate scenes mentioned in the script. Initially, the size zero diva Kareena Kapoor was approached for the role. However, she turned down the offer as she could not accommodate dates.
Madhur Bhandarkar, on his part, is unwilling to make any changes to the script. A source close to the director said that Madhur did scheme the script so meticulously that he does not want even a minute aspect of it to be omitted. The unyielding director is rather ready to opt for a different leading lady instead.

It seems like no top Bollywood heroine is agreeing to star in critically acclaimed filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming flick ‘Heroine’, unless he either completely shelves or atleast cut down the intimate scenes in it.
As per latest tabloids buzz, after Kareena Kapoor, A-list actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been approached for the film, but just like Kareena, Aish too has objected to intimate scenes in the film.
Reportedly, Aish, who’s now Bachchan khandaan’s cherished bahu, is keen to star in the film, but only if producers of the film agrees with “no-intimate scenes of any kind” clause.
Aishwarya, post-marriage, is not open to films that boosts of steamy intimate scenes.
Apparently, Madhur’s much-hyped ‘Heroine’ is largely a women-centric film, and is inspired from some yesteryear actresses lives, from Bollywood and Hollywood alike.
The film’s script is bold in its nature and boosts of having a few steamy intimate scenes.

Kareena Kapoor’s hectic schedules with the films in hand held Madhur Bhandarkar, the director who is known for his sensitively made realistic films, in suspension for a brief period. But, the lack of enough time with the producers of the proposed film ‘Heroine’ forced Madhur Bhandarkar to switch over to beauty queen Aishwarya Rai.
Kareena Kapoor, famous for her size zero status, is reportedly, eager to do the film but incapable of coping with her eventful agenda. Truth is that Madhur stated that he never had a dialogue with Aishwarya Rai in connection with his film to be made. On the other hand Aishwarya Rai’s acquaintances say that the latter wouldn’t like to be an alternative choice.

Given the fact that Kareena’s current work commitments make her busy for more than a year, Madhur recently had a covert meeting with Aishwarya to woo her for ‘Heroine’. Buzz has it that Madhur does not have much time as his producers want to start with the project – with or without Kareena. However, it’s Madhur who is desperately waiting for Kareena’s approval. Jaya Bachchan, the veteran bollywood actress and mother-in-law of gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, has created a storm by supporting Ashutosh Gowarikar in questioning Priyanka Chopra’s best actress award while ignoring the claims of her daughter-in-law at IIFA in Macau.
Jaya Bachchan feels that Aishwarya Rai’s character of Jodha Bai in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s directorial venture ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ was more deserving of the best actress award than Priyanka Chopra’s role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s flick ‘Fashion’. Though the veteran actress claimed in the same vein that she was yet to see Priyanka Chopra’s film ‘Fashion’ , but it did not make her wait before passing a judgment on Priyanka’s histrionics prowess vis-à-vis Aishwarya Rai.
Sources say that Jaya Bachchan’s displeasure was more pronounced as all other principal actors of ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, including Hrithik Roshan, had won awards in their respective categories. Only Aishwarya Rai and cinematographer Kiran Deohans could not manage to get any awards at the function and this despite the fact that Big B was the brand ambassador of the IIFA function.
