Live performances by Abhishek Bachchan were indeed exuberant. While Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan draped in a glittery white sari with red border not only added a serene look to her beauty but added loads of charm to her persona. Ash anchored the event with great poise although managed it at a short notice indeed. She had just flown from abroad.

Aishwarya Rai Peeking into the sloppy graph in film career after marriage, Aishwarya Rai seems to strike back powerfully with good many films of Bollywood and Tollywood set to go for releases nationwide this year.

However, it is not a fresh chapter for her in South’s Tollywood who earlier had her taste of success in flicks like ‘Jeans’, ‘Kandukondain Kandukondain’ etc., and now it is ‘Raavan’ and ‘Robot’ which are to be versioned in Tamil language.

Going out for a new outlook in both the flicks ‘Raavan’ and ‘Robot’ where in former one she is taking into for a conventional look and the later one in a contemporary image is equally very challenging.

In ‘Ravaan’ the actress teams up with hubby Ahbishek Bachchan under the supervision of renowned director Mani Ratnam while in ‘Robot’ she takes her stand with icon of Tollywood Rajnikanth, who surprised everyone with a very well toned Tamil accent.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: As strong as Ragini!

Aishwarya Rai is one actress of bollywood, who has played all kinds of roles in her films so far. She has been given quite powerful roles, and each time she has been able to envisage the director’s sketch of the character perfectly in each of her films.
However, in the forth coming flick by Mani Sir (Mani Ratnam), she plays the role of Ragini, a modern strong willed girl, who is according to the actress somewhat like what she is in real life.
Aishwarya, who is the epitome of being the ultimate woman of today, with an air of self confidence, has been every directors dream heroine.
The film ‘Raavan’ has her hubby Abhishek playing a prankster, almost like the Raavan from the epic Ramayana. Ash plays Ragini, who is almost the modern Sita in her own way. The director has left no stone unturned in making things tough for the actors, throughout the shoot.
Reportedly, while shooting in the dense forests of Kerala, in South India, the director made the actors slog it out in the open with snakes, rabbits and even leeches crawling all over them They had to climb up and down the wet mountain slopes, without any duplicates being used.
Ash, as Ragini, enacted her role with true spirit of bravery and strong will. She would have her face scratched from every angle, such that no artificial makeup was required to make the bruises on her face.
All that is fine but, while watching ‘Raavan’, will we be watching the brave Ragini, or the brave Ash, fighting it out in the forests? Guess, each to his own!

Aishwarya Rai felt like Fear Factor while shooting for RAAVAN!!

April 26th, 2010

Aishwarya Rai, the stunningly beautiful Bachchan bahu who plays lead in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming ambitious flick ‘Raavan’ opposite hubby Abhishek Bachchan, felt that she was on the Fear Factor show rather than shooting for a feature film in the jungles of Kerala full of snakes and leeches.

In fact, Aishwarya recalls that not only snakes were present a whisker away, but she was also forced to donate blood to several hundred leeches. Moreover, the location of the shoot was far away in the jungle and on hillocks and they had to make effort to even reach there, leave aside shooting the sequences.

Aishwarya Rai is in the character of a classical dance teacher in the film and her character is known as Ragini. Her character is very strong and not wishy washy. However, despite of being the leading lady of the film, Aishwarya’s character needed to be drenched in water and mud all the time to showcase a real touch to whole proceedings.

We have had South stars doing Bollywood films and vice versa. Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is reportedly planning to do a couple of Tollywood films. The stunner is no stranger to Tamil having debuted in Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar in 1997. She was raw debutant then. Today she is the sophisticated star and one of BTowns top heroines.

The actress has come full circle since those times. After almost a decade, two of Aishwarya’s upcoming projects will have Tamil versions. Raavan and Robot will be dubbed in Tamil as Ravana and Endhiran respectively. Though she has done Tamil films like Jeans, Kandukondain Kandukondain, these are her most ambitious Tollywood ventures so far. In Raavan, she teams up with hubby Abhishek and mentor Ratnam while in Robot; she will be seen with Rajnikanth. A Tamil coach tutored her on the language and diction for Raavan. The lady wowed everyone by dubbing for her own lines. She also got the tone and accent right! For Robot, it was Rajni himself who gave her lessons. A source revealed to Sampurn Wire that Ash is a fast learner. Though she found it difficult at first, soon she was able to rattle off lengthy dialogues with ease!
