Bollywood actresses have often turned producers, entrepreneurs, social activists or even directors. Prima donna Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has always set herself apart from the other damsels of Indian film industry. Sources say that the actress wants to launch her own signature label of attire. A few years back, there were talks that Ash will be associated as the official brand ambassador of an international fashion line. It is known that many European labels were keen in tying up with her and that she has, so far, been approached by 15 top international designers from Italy, London and New York! However, the actress declined it all. She, by showcasing her saris and gowns at grand international events and with her insistence on minimalistic make-up and accessories in Bollywood, is considered to be quite a trendsetter.

Last year she was seen in just one film — Hollywood’s “Pink Panther”. But this year Aishwarya Rai has four films lined up for release — two southern projects “Ravana” and “Endhiran” as well as “Action Replay” and “Guzaarish”, collectively costing over Rs. 300 crore.

While her bilingual sci-fi film “Endhiran”, starring Rajnikanth, is said to be made at a budget of Rs.125 crore, approximately Rs. 45 crore has been spent on Mani Ratnam’s much-awaited “Ravana”, which is set for a June release.

Vipul Shah’s “Action Replay” costs around Rs.60 crore and if reports are to be believed, UTV is shelling out close to Rs.80 crore for Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed “Guzaarish” for which Aishwarya is currently shooting along with Hrithik Roshan in Mumbai.

Aishwarya has been busy shooting all these films for the past one year and even suffered health problems due to her hectic schedules.

aishwarya_rai_is_laughing_with_vivek_obroy_dpca6vAishwarya Rai, the gorgeous Bachchan bahu who was attending Mumbai Police annual event Jashn 2010 bollywood ka dhamaka at Andheri Sports Complex recently, looked so uncomfortable at the sight of Vivek Oberoi (her ex-boyfriend) that the hero just disappeared from her vicinity.

In fact, Vivek Oberoi was not prepared to enter the venue when he spotted that Aishwarya Rai was sitting in the same row next to him. However, the organizers somehow persuaded him to attend the function and he relented.

Sources present at the function say that Vivek was conscious of the precarious situation from the very beginning and so when he saw Aishwarya Rai trying to have a sneak view of the situation in discomfort, he decided that enough was enough and disappeared from the scene.

When Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi seat too close

ash-vivek1Aishwarya Rai has been having close and uncomfortable encounters with her ex-lovers this month. On December 17, she crossed paths with Salman Khan in a Mumbai studio.

Now, she had an uncomfortable seat just too close to ex-lover Vivek Oberoi at a Mumbai police event named ‘Jashn 2010-Dhamaka Bollywood Ka’ held on December 17.

People’s paths often cross in a close knit industry like Bollywood. No harm in that as long as two people aren’t ex lovers no longer on talking terms with each other.

As h had arrived at the event with father-in-law Big B and Vivek was there with designer Manish Malhotra. Unfortunately, the organizers had placed Vivek’s seat very close to Ash in the first row.
