President Barack Obama may well be the  most famous person born in  an  Ox year.   He is joined by a host of celebrities like the handsome George Clooney and the lovely Bollywood star Aishhwarya Rai.

Aishwarya Rai was born India in 1973.  Graced with ethnic beauty, charm and suaveness, she catapulted on the world stage when she won  Miss World in 1994.

India has

experienced an economic boom in the past few years. As the middle class expands in India and the Indian communities grow larger in the US,  traditional Indian dress  influences  American fashion.

From  nose rings to tunics  to  saris to golden bangles ~ all  are becoming more common in pop culture and New York runways.  I  have been wearing all these for years…except for a sari.  I do have beautiful green one ~ I just haven’t found an appropriate  place to wear it yet.
