Is that true what we are hearing? Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is ageing really? No, it is not true. This is never going to happen to celebrities. They are ever young. Especially in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s case, she is not ageing at all. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is ageing for a movie, named “Action Replay”. She is playing a role of an old lady. The Bachchan “Bahu” Aishwarya Rai Bachchan got inspired from “Sasurji” Amitabh Bachchan in “Paa”.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan went for a complete transformation to look like an old lady. She will be seen in some scenes as an old lady with Akshay Kumar. With all experience, Amitabh Bachchan acted beautifully as “Auro” in “Paa”. He has portrayed as a 13 year old child suffering from progeria. Thus, “Bahu” Aishwarya followed in the footsteps and will be seen as aged. The inspiration and following into the footsteps between Aishwarya and Amitabh Bachchan went to a common extent. Both of them got the transformation from makeup artists from Hollywood.

138No, the beauty is not trying on a grey character, but actually will be seen in grey hair in Vipul Shah’s ‘Action Replay’.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be donning the character of an old lady in this time travel saga. The Husn ki Malika would be transformed into an aged woman by Hollywood make-up stylist Paul Pattison who had earlier worked over the looks of Mel Gibson (Braveheart) and Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible).

This Akshay Kumar starrer is expected to hit the screens in April 2010 and the film’s team are busy wrapping up the project.

Now, while her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan went on to play a 13-year-old child in ‘Paa’, Aish seem to just follow his steps by getting into a role opposite to her age… As the grapevines are buzzing over these titbits, it would be fair to remember ‘Umrao Jaan’ where Aishwarya had almost tried the aged role. However, the actress’s old character was partially behind a curtain in most parts where she speaks of her young days in the film.

Aishwarya Rai - Only the best for Ash & AkkiVipul Shah got top Hollywood make- up artist Paul Pattison to finalise the look for Aishwarya Rai- Bachchan and Akshay Kumar in his film, Action Replay.

Vipul wanted the Oscar- winning Paul – who has worked with Mel Gibson in Braveheart and Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible – because make- up plays a big part in the film. Both Aishwarya and Akshay have to look old during one part of the film.

But Paul couldn’t give dates for the entire film. So, he flew down to work with the team in Mumbai and decided on the actors’ look within three days. Vipul, Ash and Akki too loved Paul’s ideas and are thrilled with the look.

Oscar-winning make-up artist Paul Pattison who has styled the likes of Mel Gibson for Braveheart and Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible will now be working his magic on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for Vipul Shah’s Action Replay.

A braveheart for Aishwarya

Sources say that Vipul had to pull many strings to get the makers of the Hollywood films Paul is working with to release him for a few days so that he could come down and finalise the look for Ash before she got busy with another schedule of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan.

An informer reveals, “Paul was on the wish-list of Vipul when he conceptualised Action Replay, but he was busy with two films  Chicane and The Waiting City. When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her dates available, Vipul contacted Pattison only to find that he was tied up. It was crucial to get him down before Ash got busy again or it would have delayed his own film. So he requested the Hollywood film-makers to release him for a few days.”
