Bollywood star Akshay Kumar says that Action Replayy is his first romantic comedy with Aishwarya Rai and he was blushing through the making of the retro cool movie.

“It is my fifth film with director Vipul Shah and definitely another one to remember. Ash and I had a brief romantic interlude in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Khakee, but Action Replayy is our first romantic comedy together. Believe me, I was blushing through the making,” Akshay said in a
statement.

“There’s a lot I wish to tell my audience about. But Vipul wants me to keep things under wraps for the moment.”

Akshay says he was thrilled to be a part of “Action Replayy” that is set in the 1970s when his father-in-law Rajesh Khanna was hailed as the first superstar.

Filmmaker Vipul Shah says he is worried about his friendship with Aishwarya Rai who is working in his film Action Replay as people are making “systematic attempts to destroy” their relationship.

“Aishwarya is a very respectable professional. It hurts to see how her sheer hard work is ridiculed to build one spicy story by the media. She has been a soft target. And the sort of rumours rising now can damage my relationship with her. She has been my friend for a long time and I am afraid I will have a fallout with her,” Shah told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

“There are certain people who are making systematic attempts to destroy my relationship with Aishwarya. There are gossip mongers who are spreading baseless rumours that she has refused to dub for Action Replay after seeing the rushes. But none of this is true,” he added.

The macho man of Bollywood Akshay Kumar and the princess of beauty talented actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have geared up to set the screen on fire together once again.

After action-packed motion picture Khaki, Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah are ready to thump again.

The two started with “Aankhen”, followed it up with “Waqt – Race against Time” and then “Namastey London”.

This combination is for Vipul Shah’s upcoming movie “Action Replay”.

Akshay and Vipul are together co-producing the flick. The shooting is expected to begin in the start of February next year.

“Action Replay will involve a modern setting with a period look where Mumbai of the 1950s will be recreated,” said Vipul.

Nitin Desai will be designing the set. He will try and imitate the time period by constructing roads, cars and houses over six acres of land in his Karjat studio Vipul added.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the stunningly beautiful bollywood hottie who plays lead in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick Action Replay opposite Akshay Kumar, has been rejecting music composer Pritam’s song repeatedly, thereby delaying the project.

Sources close to Vipul Shah reveal that the Bachchan bahu has already rejected Pritam’s composition for three times and has again asked him to make something special to fit the bill. In fact, the song number is to be filmed on Aishwarya Rai at the time of her entry in the film, and so she and filmmaker Vipul Shah insist that it has to be something special and not any run of the mill stuff, churned out by the music director and lyricists.

Now, music director Pritam and two lyricists Irshad and Kamil(have already written songs for Saif Ali Khan’s home production ‘Love Aaj Kal’) are starting all over again from the scratch to render the number, which can satisfy Aishwarya and Vipul Shah.
