The disagreements between them started on the sets of Jodhaa Akbar where Ash and Neeta had a difference of opinion over her outfits in the film. Ash didn’t even go to Neeta’s show afterwards, where she launched her daughter. The final blow was when Neeta asked Sushmita Sen to model for her and not Ash. And while Ash is appearing in a number of films, she has chosen designers Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi instead of Neeta. Neeta has worked with Ash on a number of films like Umrao Jaan, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Taal, etc. She has even designed Ash’s clothes in the Cannes film festival. Rakhi Sawant surely couldn’t have asked for more. A Rs 30 lakh (Rs 3 million) necklace designed by Farah Ali Khan, a lehenga-choli wedding dress by celebrity designer Neeta Lulla, a ‘swayamvar’ on national television and a grand wedding to be watched by millions across the country. The former ‘item girl’, who has had a rags-to-riches career, will marry on NDTV Imagine’s reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar soon. She will choose her “perfect man” from among nine grooms who have come from cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Rishikesh, Jaipur and Kanpur and even from places as far off as Toronto. Befitting the royalty and ambiance of Fatehgarh, our thrilled bride-to-be is all set to make the biggest day of her life truly a grand and magnificent one. Ace designer Neeta Lulla and Farah Ali has taken up the task of designing Rakhi”s clothes and jewellery for her wedding. When Rakhi met Neeta Lulla, she told her that she wants to look just like Aishwarya Rai. Neeta shared some design sketches with Rakhi on the kind of look that she should have, and suggested various colours that would look good on her complexion. She also told Rakhi that she wants her to be dressed very traditionally like a true Indian princess on her big day. Farah Ali Khan showed Rakhi various intricate stone studded designs that she should wear for her big day. From Diamonds to Kundans to Emerald and Rubies, Rakhi got a chance to try on necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings.
