Helpless Aishwarya Rai wants some time for Pa as well as Paa. Well, this was her dilemma but thanks to a considerate director, the Bachchan bahu got a few days leave from her taut shooting schedule.

Pa Amitabh Bachchan was all alone whilst shuttling from place to place and juggling his schedule to promote ‘Paa’ and the reason for his solitariness was that all the members of the family were busy. Abhishek Bachchan is in Goa shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s film, Jaya Bachchan was handling politics in the parliament and Ash has a busy schedule because of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’.

So a doting bahu like Ash, expressed her helplessness to Sanjay and then what else – “Sanjay made up his mind to give her some time off on those crucial days on and before the premiere, although it meant considerable schedule adjustment on his part,” a source was quoted by a daily.

Aishwarya Rai says she is fully convinced that actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan will make a good father in real life because he is so “real and rooted”.

“Everybody has been asking me if Abhishek will be a good pa (father) in connection with the release of our forthcoming production ‘Paa’. I think it’s silly for me to be even making the statement. It’s given – I married the man. So obviously I have the conviction in the husband he is or the father he will be,” Aishwarya, 36, told IANS in an interview here.

Asked about Abhishek’s qualities that would make him a good father, Aishwarya laughed and said: “He is very real, very rooted and very human – which I absolutely relate to. His values are evident for everybody to see. We have known each other for so many years.

This is Aishwarya’s way of proving she is more than just a gorgeous face. She is heading the marketing department and is the brain behind Paa’s stellar campaign, replete with those classy, international-looking posters. Paa is ABCL’s first Bollywood production in a long time and Aishwarya wants to ensure that they are back with a bang. They also produced a Marathi film which premiered at MAMI this year.

A source tells us, ‘Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is going all out to ensure that ABCL becomes a production house to reckon with. She has been meeting up with directors she has worked with and even those whose work she admires but hasn’t worked with as yet. Anurag Kashyap, R Balki, Sanjay Gadhvi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ashutosh Gowariker who has met up with to discuss future projects. After meeting the directors, she discusses everything with her Maa and Paa (Jaya and Amitabh) who share their opinion with her. As far as the cast of the films is concerned, there is enough talent within the family to choose from.’

Oh yes. Super bahu Ash Bachchan has decided to hold up on Hrithik Roshan starrer Guzaarish shoot only for her dearest Paa. Awwwww. Ain’t THAT cute? NOT!

Now really I dont understand these B’wood families. First they say they adore their work and can do anything to live up to their commitments and the next thing I hear is that Aishwarya has decided to slacken the shoot for Guzaarish … not for her health or anything but to promote her husband and dad-in-law’s film Paa! Where is the professionalism Ms Superbahu?

So a little birdie told me how much the schedule had to be rearranged for this sudden decision of the Bachchan bahu. But Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali thinks nothing of the inconvenience caused. They are almost family you see. Dear LORD!

According to reports, ABCL is said to be on a road to recovery with its much-hyped upcoming film ‘Paa’. After suffering a string of losses as its projects bombed at the Box Office, the company is now headed to reestablish itself in Bollywood, under the aegis of Aishwarya.

Sources suggest that Ash is leaving nothing to chance and has taken over the charge of marketing strategy of ‘Paa’. So whether it’s the head-in-the-box teaser ads, or Auro merchandise, Paa-and-I campaign strategies, or Big B visiting schools, all the promotional strategies for the film are filtered by Ash.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is once again playing the good bahu in real life. According to latest reports Ash is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that their home production PAA is one of the box office success stories. For this to happen, Ash has been closely working with the marketing strategy team of the film and has tabled a few ideas for the films promotion.

This film assumes significance for the Bachchans as this will be the first time Abhishek will play father to Big B and moreover the fact that the film is produced by ABCL makes it’s success all the more important for the Bachchans.

So far, it seems Ash is not giving an inch away to chance and is taking keen interest in planning the promotion of the film. Well, with the Bachchan bahu going out of her way to promote PAA, all we hope is a box office blockbuster in the making.
