Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are perhaps the busiest couples in bollywood these days. The couple has been so busy with their schedules that they have had no time to be in Mumbai, for the past few months.
However, after having flown from Cannes to Chennai, to complete some portions of the Tamil Film ‘Endhiran’, or ‘Robot’, the Bachchan daughter in law is back in Mumbai, albeit for a few days.

The sad news is that Ash will not be able to attend he IIFA celebrations in Colombo, Sri Lanka, due to her prior commitments. Reportedly, the actor is going to fly to Paris, in the first week of June, to promote the ‘Longines’, which is an International watch Brand, of which she is the Brand Ambassador.
After the official promos, she will reportedly be attending the French Open.
Abhishek Bachchan, will also not be able to attend the IIFA celebrations, due to his shooting schedule of director Abhinay Deo’s flick ‘Game’. The actor is to go to Istanbul for the next round of shooting for the flick.

Aishwarya Rai Peeking into the sloppy graph in film career after marriage, Aishwarya Rai seems to strike back powerfully with good many films of Bollywood and Tollywood set to go for releases nationwide this year.

However, it is not a fresh chapter for her in South’s Tollywood who earlier had her taste of success in flicks like ‘Jeans’, ‘Kandukondain Kandukondain’ etc., and now it is ‘Raavan’ and ‘Robot’ which are to be versioned in Tamil language.

Going out for a new outlook in both the flicks ‘Raavan’ and ‘Robot’ where in former one she is taking into for a conventional look and the later one in a contemporary image is equally very challenging.

In ‘Ravaan’ the actress teams up with hubby Ahbishek Bachchan under the supervision of renowned director Mani Ratnam while in ‘Robot’ she takes her stand with icon of Tollywood Rajnikanth, who surprised everyone with a very well toned Tamil accent.

We have had South stars doing Bollywood films and vice versa. Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is reportedly planning to do a couple of Tollywood films. The stunner is no stranger to Tamil having debuted in Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar in 1997. She was raw debutant then. Today she is the sophisticated star and one of BTowns top heroines.

The actress has come full circle since those times. After almost a decade, two of Aishwarya’s upcoming projects will have Tamil versions. Raavan and Robot will be dubbed in Tamil as Ravana and Endhiran respectively. Though she has done Tamil films like Jeans, Kandukondain Kandukondain, these are her most ambitious Tollywood ventures so far. In Raavan, she teams up with hubby Abhishek and mentor Ratnam while in Robot; she will be seen with Rajnikanth. A Tamil coach tutored her on the language and diction for Raavan. The lady wowed everyone by dubbing for her own lines. She also got the tone and accent right! For Robot, it was Rajni himself who gave her lessons. A source revealed to Sampurn Wire that Ash is a fast learner. Though she found it difficult at first, soon she was able to rattle off lengthy dialogues with ease!

It is believed that the star is now being offered a whopping 10 crores for a film. Producer and National Award winner Bobby Pushkarna of Page 3 fame is said to have relentlessly pursued Aishwarya for almost three months to get her to agree to do his film. And it is believed that he had even decided that if Ash would not do his film, then he will not make it.

However you can’t blame the actress for becoming pricier by the day, if produces are willing to chase her around to work for them, one can’t blame her for superciliousness.

The leading lady is at present shooting for ‘Action Replay’, ‘Guzaarish’ and ‘Robot.’

A recent report suggested that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was replaced by Madhuri Dixit as a judge on one of the reality shows because she demanded a huge fee. Aishwarya’s PR manager says that the report is absolutely false.

The actress had to refuse the show on account of her film commitment. She is presently busy with a schedule of Guzaarish, while Endhiran (Robot), Action Replayy and Ravaana are near completion thus the subject of remuneration was never discussed.

The proposal had come to Aishwarya through the Moranis and even Shiamak Davar tried to push her to do the show, but her dates could not be worked out.

Shiamak added, “I would love to have her as she is the best. We go back a long way. I have been her teacher and worked closely with her on Taal and numerous stage shows.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says no to reality shows due to her film commitments.

A recent news story issued by a channel suggested Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was ousted by Madhuri Dixit for one of their reality shows, citing monies as an issue.

It’s alarming and rather sad to see that a channel by issuing such a statement is trying to ride on the popularity of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to get publicity for their reality show.

We would wish to clarify that this is an act of fiction, fact being that ARB who is known to be.

A through professional had to refuse the show on account of her commitment to films. She is presently busy with a grueling schedule of GUZAARISH, while ENDHIRAN (ROBOT), ACTION REPLAY and RAVAAN is all near completion thus the subject of monies and costing never did arise as discussions did not go beyond schedules and dates.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (35) is the highest paid Indian film heroine. Still, for her to land an eye-watering Rs 6 crore for a single film — Shankar’s The Robot — is something. Bonus: she serenades Tamil superstar Rajnikanth. Shankar last directed Rajni in Sivaji.

The Robot is India’s most expensive film to date. It was reportedly budgeted at Rs 128.70 crore but after one schedule in Brazil, the budget was expanded to Rs 150 crore.

That’s when the original producers— Ayngaran and Eros — upped and left, leaving the film to the loving care of the Brothers Maran (Sun TV) who were delighted to take over.

Reports have it that with a 27 per cent hike in crew remuneration (most of the technicians are American and have to be paid in dollars), the cost of The Robot or Endhiran, as it is called in Tamil, is set to skyrocket to Rs 165 crore. A new high for Indian cinema.

Director Shankar, who is making ‘Endhiran’(‘Robot’), with superstar Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, will be busy with the film for two years.

The budget of the most ambitious film of the director (and of India!) is said to be several hundred crores of rupees! Believe it or not but Shankar was finding it difficult to get a cinematographer for ‘Endhiran’(‘Robot’) because the chosen director of photography would be required to block his dates for two full years for this film.

And knowing the tough task master Shankar is, he would not allow the cameraman to take up other assignments during this time period.

Finally, Shankar opted for a cinema­tographer from the advertising world. Reportedly, Randy, the director of photography, has been paid a fee of Rs. 1 crore for his services.

While Amar Singh’s closest friends from the industry, Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt, couldn’t make it to Singapore their respective wives more than made up for their husbands’ absence. Bachchan had to cancel his trip at the last minute due to a health scare and Sanjay was denied a visa.

Jaya was with Amar Singh when he went in for the surgery and Sanjay’s wife, Maanyata, joined her later.Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too put her shooting schedule for Shankar’s Robot on hold to be with Bachchan’s closest family friend in his hour of crisis. Jaya Prada also dropped in to wish her mentor good luck.

One of the star wives said, “It had become an all-girls club in Singapore with Jaya Prada also dropping in to meet him (Singh). There was nothing to do there except be present by his side and enquire about his progress. One couldn’t go shopping or sightseeing at a time like this. It was a grim situation but yes, we wives bonded well.”
