- Former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan graced an international annual sports event of the World’s Bunt Sports Meet in Powai as the chief guest and was accompanied by her husband Abhishek Bachchan and mother Vrinda Rai on the occassion. Aishwarya belongs to the Shetty community known as Bunts. Bunt or Tulunad Kshatriya is a Hindu community that belongs to the region of Tulu Nadu in the southwestern part of the country including the districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka. The Bunts Sangh has been taking the initiative in bringing Bunts all across the world together by organizing sports meet annually, at the S M Shetty Institute in Powai. This year witnessed about 5000 Bunts settled in different countries participating in the event.

The 37-year-old Bachchan bahu belongs to the Shetty community known as Bunts. Aishwarya was accompanied by her ever doting husband Abhishek Bachchan to the World Bunts Sports Meet 2010.

Aishwarya’s voluminous anarkali kurta had oversized paisley pattern on the skirt and red and black floral print velvet long sleeves. She paired it with a black polka dot churidar and a black and gold net dupatta, neatly draped across her neck.

Even as her recent releases are bombing at the box office, Kareena Kapoor still remains the most sought after actor in Bollywood.

Till now, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is the highest paid actress in Bollywood, but Kareena could soon take it over if she accepts the huge sum of Rs 10 crore, believed to have been offered to her by Rohit Shetty to be a part of ‘Golmaal 3.’

A source told DNA, “Post ‘Jab We Met’, Kareena’s success graph has risen even more. She was apparently paid Rs2.5 crore for ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ and little more for ‘Golmaal 2’. Rohit’s film went on to become a hit and the director wants to repeat the cast for his next that will take the story forward. Till now, Kareena has never been a part of any sequel. So to make her sign this film, Rohit has offered Rs 10 crore.”
