Just last week a veritable pantheon of Bollywood talent turned out in style for the GQ Men of the Year Awards event held at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt hotel.

In attendance were scions such as Amitabh Bachchan an his wife Jaya, as well as younger stars such.

As Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif , Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan , Irrfan Khan , Karan Johar , Lara Dutta and Abhay Deol , the list just goes on and on!

The dapper Saif Ali Khan took the coveted award for Man of the Year home while his other half Kareena Kapoor was awarded the trophy for Woman of the Year.

A matching set!  Amitabh Bachchan received the Lifetime Achievement Award and “Road, Movie ” actor Abhay Deol was acknowledged as the Breakthrough Talent.

Recently an article titled, “Career more important than family”, published by a website, infuriated Aishwarya so much that she issued a statement saying she would take legal action against those who are spreading rumours about her.

According to Archana Sadanand of Imagesmiths, who handles the publicity for Aishwarya, a celebrity’s life is in the public domain but circulating untrue statements about them affects their personal lives.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the stunningly beautiful bollywood hottie who plays lead in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick Action Replay opposite Akshay Kumar, has been rejecting music composer Pritam’s song repeatedly, thereby delaying the project.

Sources close to Vipul Shah reveal that the Bachchan bahu has already rejected Pritam’s composition for three times and has again asked him to make something special to fit the bill. In fact, the song number is to be filmed on Aishwarya Rai at the time of her entry in the film, and so she and filmmaker Vipul Shah insist that it has to be something special and not any run of the mill stuff, churned out by the music director and lyricists.

Now, music director Pritam and two lyricists Irshad and Kamil(have already written songs for Saif Ali Khan’s home production ‘Love Aaj Kal’) are starting all over again from the scratch to render the number, which can satisfy Aishwarya and Vipul Shah.

The big Khans of Bollywood – Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan [^], Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan [^] are not attending this year’s IIFA Awards function but Bollywood’s power couple Abhishek Bachchan [^] and Aishwarya Bachchan have managed to heat up Macau.Abhishek and his wife Aishwarya have arrived Macau for the 10th edition of IIFA Awards. The couple looked happy and excited. Abhishek even got hold of the video camera of one of the journalists and gestured to the onlooking fans. He said that the event would be fantastic.

Amitabh Bachchan is the brand ambassador of the IIFA Awards 2009. Actress Lara Dutta will host the awards ceremony along with Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh. Jackky Bhagnani, who is making Bollywood debut with Kal Kissne Dekha is going to perform at the event.

Aishwarya Rai has been getting a lot of calls asking her what the big secret is. And the actress is most annoyed. The flood of calls from friends and family began ever since the media reported recently that Ash is on Twitter and that she has written: “Planning to share a secret with my Twitter friends… will update shortly.”

Her spokes person says that the Aishwarya Rai who is twitting is an impostor. “She was shell-shocked to know that someone who has faked her Twitter identity is posting messages on her behalf, promising to ‘reveal a secret’. Aishwarya does not have a Twitter account.” This is not the first time a star’s identity has been stolen online. Amrita Rao, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan faced similar problems.
