The first look of Guzaarish starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai will be unveiled in theaters with We Are Family which releases on September 3.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed Guzaazrish is due in theatres on November 19.

Unlike Bhansali’s earlier films, Guzaarish has been shot on locales, not sets.

Filming started in Goa in July 2009 and wrapped up in April 2010.

In addition to directing the film, Bhansali is scoring its music, which will be released in September end.

“I’ve always been a musician at heart. I learnt how to convey human emotions on screen by listening to Lataji’s (Mangeshkar) voice. I feel I’d be more complete as a filmmaker by personally interpreting the musical emotions of my characters,” says Bhansali.

Set in old Goa, the film’s sets reflect Portuguese architecture and style.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali establishes an emotional connect with the cast of his film and his muse Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of his closest friends. They have worked together in super hit flicks like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ‘Devdas’.

And now the master filmmaker is deeply concerned about the beautiful actress after ‘Raavan’, her one of the most ambitious projects with hubby Abhishek Bachchan, has fallen flat at the box office. According to sources, Bhansali, who had plans to work with Kareena in his next film, has backtracked.

If sources are to be believed, Bhansali has decided to feature Ash in his next film. She is already in the film ‘Guzaarish’ but Bhansali wants to boost her morale by signing her in his next project also. And at this point of time, Bhansali has dropped the idea of signing Kareena, in favour of his favourite Ash.

Aishwarya Rai may be cribbing over the fate of her much hyped Raavan that also starred her grumpy-faced husband Abhishek Bachchan whose lie to his fans about the cliff jump has tarnished his public image.
However, amidst all the thorns lies the fragrant rose. The idiom seems to be tailor-made for the former Miss World whose Raavan debacle has landed her a film from the renowned Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
After getting sidelined by his good, old friend Salman Khan and suffering the pangs of Ash-Sallu split, Sanjay’s desire of casting the magical pair of ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ for the 2nd time has died a ruthless death.

Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Bachchan performed to live music in Guzaarish

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known to love the bygone era. Be it the old-world charm that Aishwarya Bachchan portrayed in Devdas or Sonam Kapoor’s adaas in Saawariya, Bhansali has always made his love for the past very evident.

The filmmaker has once again got in touch with filmmaking as it was in the 1930s and 1940s in the Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Bachchan starrer Guzaarish. After getting Hrithik Roshan to play a wheelchair-bound paraplegic in Guzaarish, Bhansali has taken a step further, or shall we say backward, to choreograph several songs in the film. The director got Hrithik and Aishwarya to groove to live music with choreographer Pony Verma.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is being more than just an actor for her close friend Sanjay Leela Bhansali as she is playing the role of a saviour time and again. Earlier she helped him with the script, and now DNA has learnt that Ash has provided inputs to a dance sequence for Sanjay’s forthcoming project Guzaarish that is currently being shot. The choreographer got the mood and the feel of the song all wrong and just when Sanjay was about to lose his temper, Ash managed to allay the troubled film-maker.

An eyewitness to the account who was present on the sets reveals, “Ash was shooting for a song sequence for Guzaarish. And the director was unhappy with the steps of one particular line of the song. But Aishwarya was very patient and she tried over 25 variations/options to get a suitable step for that particular line. She also gave her inputs and tried to think of better dance steps. That proved to be really beneficial for the choreographer.”

Aishwarya Rai ACTION REPLAY to tickle your funny bone in July!!

April 15th, 2010

By Jilawatan

Aishwarya Rai, the gorgeous Bachchan bahu who plays the lead in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick ‘Action Replay’ opposite Khiladi Akshay Kumar, is all set to tickle your funny bone in July with her first ever comic role in this venture.

Though, Aishwarya Rai’s another flick ‘Raavan’ directed by Mani Rathnam will be releasing on June 18, Vipul Shah feels that it would not affect the box office prospects of his ‘Action Replay’. The confidence of the veteran director comes from the fact that ‘Action Replay’ was as different from Mani Rathnam’s ‘Raavan’ as chalk and cheese, and hence, they would have different segments of patrons for them.

In fact, ‘Action Replay’ is out and out comedy, wherein Ash will be showcasing her comic talent for the first time, while ‘Raavan’ is based on the mythological story of Ramayan with modern interpretation to suit the contemporary times. Trade sources say that despite of all differences between the two movies, Vipul Shah is likely to consult director Mani Rathnam before deciding upon the final release date of his flick.
