Bollywood is on high alert! One of its biggest stars, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has fallen ill while shooting her latest movie “Action Replay.”
The model and actress has spent the last week on Manori Island working with Vipul Shah on the movie that tells the story of a time-traveling man, played by Akshay Kumar.
But all of a sudden, while shooting a scene, Ash got sick and had to take antibiotics. But it seems like Mrs Bachchan ate the medicine like candy and soon had a bad reaction. Her lips got swollen and her fever worsened.
But what to do when you have to finish a movie? Well, Ash is a true professional and decided to simply cover her face with a veil and continue shooting! Interesting! No rest for this L’Oreal girl!
“The reaction could’ve either been because of the antibiotics, which she took in excess as she had to finish the shooting yesterday as well as fulfill the next important commitment of being the keynote speaker at a women’s summit today or it could also be an insect sting,” Aishwarya’s spokesperson said.
But unfortunately the star didn’t get any better despite all the antibiotics and today her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, had to accept an award for her at the summit.
Poor Ash! We hope she gets better soon!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seems to have turned workaholic. She has been shooting for Vipul Shah’s forthcoming flick ‘Action Replay’ at Manori Island for the last few days. Besides, she also has to finish some important sequences. However, she suddenly suffered high fever and a severe throat infection just before reaching the set. In spite of all this, she was not willing to cancel the day’s shoot. In fact, she did go to the set in a ferry from Versova to Manori Island after taking antibiotics. And, the actress got busy shooting for her part.

Everything was fine until lunchtime when suddenly she felt her lips starting to puff up and getting swelled. This may be due to the reaction of antibiotics, which she took in excess. After all, she had to finish the shooting as well as to fulfill the next important commitment of being the keynote speaker at a women’s summit, it is learnt. Anyway, this isn’t fair for the Bachchan bahu , who is the vital link of the entire family these days. Her illness causes a great concern among Bachchans, we are told.

Vipul Shah has once again returned to his favorite hero Akshay Kumar with Aishwarya Rai for his film Action Replay and hopes to create magic on celluloid after hitting of Salman Khan-Asin starrer London Dreams at the box office.

Akshay Kumar of bollywood who plays the main lead in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick Action Replay opposite Aishwarya Rai, has worn a wig especially designed by Hollywood make- up artist Paul Pattison to give him a genuine 1970s look in the film.

On Monday, a shoot involving Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan was supposed to take at a suburban mall. The entire mall was to be cordoned off for the entire day. That would have brought business to a standstill and resulted in a huge loss for the shop owners. But Aishwarya stepped in and saved the day for the shop owners. She asked her producer to cordon off only the area where the shoot was taking place and let business run in the other sections of the mall.

Aishwarya was shooting for Vipul Shah’s Action Replay and she was doing the portions in which she had to sport an old lady’s get-up. Vipul was extra cautious about not revealing her look. So his production team told him to book the mall for the entire day.

Fans usually die for a single look of their favorite stars. They stand for an hour for one glimpse, for autographs, a click but if they are neglected or unnoticed then they feels disheartened. Something similar has been experienced by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s fan when she draped in green and pink sari walked out from the mall guarded by guards and director Vipul Shah.

As Ash walked out, fans in large number gathered to get a glimpse of the one of the most beautiful woman of the world but Ash neither bothered to stop and give them a smile or nor acknowledged them. They waved their hands but Ash felt more disgusted and walked away.

When it comes to the Bachchans, it all runs in the family.

The news is that Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan will do an item number in comedian-turned-director Sajid Khan’s upcoming multistarrer, Housefull.

The song to which Ash will be gyrating is said to be dad-in-law Amitabh Bachchan’s hit number, Apni toh jaise taise, from his 1981 hit Laawaris.

The film’s producer, Sajid Nadiadwala, has bought the rights of the song, though Sajid Khan is mum. “I am neither confirming nor denying the news. We will make an announcement at the right time,” says Khan.

Of late, the Bachchans have been going out of their way to push the prospects of each other. Last week, when Abhishek Bachchan made his debut as a TV show host–Bingo on Colors channel–Big B was his first guest.

Obviously, Abhishek needs all the push.

Reality has hit hard at all humans and bollywood stars and film folks are not spared with the fear either. Recently, it has been reported that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to be shooting for a song sequence on a holi day celebration for the film ‘Action Replay”.
According to sources, there were to be 500 extras and 150 dancers to accompany the actress for the song. There were supposed to be gallons of water to be used as it was supposed to be a holi based song which is a festival of colors where the modern version of celebrating it with water based colors was to be shot.

Bollywood’s most beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai, in a recent shooting scene, decided to drop her wet Holi scene in a bid to save water in a city that’s suffering from acute scarcity of drinking water.
The Holi wet scene was to be Aishwarya’s entry in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick ‘Action Replay’ where there were supposed to be lots of colour and water. But, then their inner conscience rose and they planned to drop the water-wasting scene.

“It is true that we are not going ahead with the earlier planned water sequence in the Holi song as we would have used at least 70-80 tankers of water for the 3-day shoot. It is an elaborate song with 500 extras and 150 dancers. I was very excited about it but then realised the magnitude of the water scarcity the city is facing. Aishwarya also opined that we should not go ahead with the plan. Both of us were on the same page on this. We have now decided to shoot it in a different way. It will be completely dry,” cites Vipul, the director of the film.
So, looks like they are reading a lot of environmental-friendly stuff. Anyways, their act is praiseworthy indeed and must be set as an example for our people to imitate. Kudos!

Crooked, a Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani production is due to start filming from January 14 next year. The film was going to see Bollywood couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles, but the latest news is that Aishwarya has opted out as her dates coincide with another project – Vipul Shah’s Action Replay.

Action Replay will see Aishwarya sharing the big screen with action man, Akshay Kumar. Since she’s given this film priority over Crooked, it leaves the producers and directors without a leading lady. Sources reveal that Sarah Jane, former Miss India (2007) has been casted in the film which is apparently inspired by the Matt Damon-starrer, Bourne films.

When asked about her role in the film, Jane refrained from commenting and just said, “Yes, I did meet the filmmakers. But I can’t say anything more than that, because I don’t know. It’s up to them to confirm the news first and make the official announcement.”

After dad-in-law’s role of a 13-year-old progeria-affected kid in Paa, Aishwarya Rai is set to bend time in Vipul Shah’s Action Replay. The former beauty queen will play an old lady in certain sequences and it is being reported that Ash spends over four to five hours in make-up to prepare for the role.

Vipul Shah has also hired expert Hollywood make-up artists to prep Ash for the role. While Christien Tinsley and Dominie Till designed Amitabh’s Auro, Ash is being worked on by Paul Pattison, whose previous projects include Mel Gibson’s Braveheart.
