Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the stunningly beautiful bollywood hottie who plays lead in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick Action Replay opposite Akshay Kumar, has been rejecting music composer Pritam’s song repeatedly, thereby delaying the project.

Sources close to Vipul Shah reveal that the Bachchan bahu has already rejected Pritam’s composition for three times and has again asked him to make something special to fit the bill. In fact, the song number is to be filmed on Aishwarya Rai at the time of her entry in the film, and so she and filmmaker Vipul Shah insist that it has to be something special and not any run of the mill stuff, churned out by the music director and lyricists.

Now, music director Pritam and two lyricists Irshad and Kamil(have already written songs for Saif Ali Khan’s home production ‘Love Aaj Kal’) are starting all over again from the scratch to render the number, which can satisfy Aishwarya and Vipul Shah.

Vipul Shah’s film ‘Action Replay’ is getting delayed, all thanks to the stately Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. No, the actress isn’t directly responsible for the delay but it’s her stature, which forces filmmakers to go for nothing but the best. That’s why Vipul Shah has rejected music director Pritam’s song as many as three times. According to latest news, Pritam and the lyricists Irshad-Kamil are working on it for the fourth time.

After composing the song, the trio tried to convince Shah to accept the song but the director remained adamant, and said, “It is Aishwarya’s entry scene and I want it to be special.”

According to a source, Ash doesn’t know about the song. “No, Aishwarya hasn’t heard the song yet. Only after Vipul finalises the song, she will hear it,” said the source.

Following her trip to Tinsel Town and the release of ‘Pink Panther 2′, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is back in Bollywood with a heavy duty call sheet in hand. The actress, who was recently felicitated with the prestigious Padma Shri award in Delhi, is set to resume shooting in Mumbai for Vipul Shah’s ‘Action Replay’.

Meanwhile, she has her hands full with Mani Ratnam’s much awaited ‘Raavan’, opposite her hubby Abhishek. The movie is scheduled to be released in 2010, and is being shot simultaneously in Tamil under the title of ‘Ashokavanam’. Though the cast in the Tamil version differ slightly, the main characters are being essayed by the likes of Vikram, Govinda,Prithviraj Sukumaran, Prabhu Ganesan and Manisha Koirala. It’s being claimed that Raavan/ Ashokavanam is a modern day version of the Ramayana, with Ash as Sita.

Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and Vishal Bhardwaj are finally getting together after many false starts. The project will go into production at the end of the year.

Says Aishwarya, “Vishal and I have wanted to work together ever since he was the music composer on a project that got shelved. We had promised one another that I’d start in his film whenever he turned director.

Right after his directorial debut in the children’s film Makdee Vishal had offered Aishwarya a film called Timbuctoo . That got shelved.

According to latest buzz, Bollywood maverick Vipul Shah has penned a role especially for Randhir Kapoor in his latest flick ‘Action Replay’.

Added to this, the film will bring rivals ‘Bachchans’ and ‘Kapoors’ together as the film stars none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opposite Akshay Kumar. Off late, the last time Randhir Kapoor graced silver screen was with Honey Irani’s ‘Armaan’, where he essayed the role of a father to vivacious Preity Zinta.

According to Vipul, he is all excited about Randhir Kapoor in ‘Action Replay’. A newspaper quoted Vipul Shah as saying, “I’m a fan of Randhir and Rishi Kapoor. It was a dream come true when I got a chance to work with Chintuji in ‘Namastey London’. Look at how many wonderful roles and films he signed after that. Now I’m hoping that after ‘Instant Replay’, Randhirji too will be doing more films.”
